About the Season pass thing, I live in St. Louis and am a season pass holder to Six Flags St. Louis. Do you think I would still be able to ride X-Flight on the exclusive season pass holder days? And the ride is only running a bit slower because it is still newer, and they never run the chain lift at full speed until maybe a week after testing. I don't know why this is but If you look at leviathan at Canada's wonderland, they did the same thing. There are also many adjustments with the trains and such that must be done. (Don't think I'm being a smart aleck, just trying to be helpful.) Anyway, the ride looks fantastic!
Six Flags Great America/Hurricane Harbor: Yes, Season Passes from other Six Flags parks will be accepted on May 12-13 to ride X Flight. The pass must be processed and not a voucher. This event is just for Season Pass holders and not Thrill Pass holders.
It does look rather slow right now, however there are a few things that need to be taken into account:
A. it was the first test run, everything is very tight right now, once these trains start making lap after lap after lap, they will loosen up a bit and things will flow easier and it will speed up.
B. The fine tuning has not been done yet. There are numerous adjustments that can be made until the result they are looking for is achieved. Think of it this way: its like the engine of a car. If one thing is not working properly, your engine will not run as ideally as it was intended.
C. The theming has not been added to the trains. That will add a considerable amount of weight, as well as the people riding the ride. The more weight you get on the train, to a point.......the faster it will go.
There isn't much work happening around the station today. There is some rain in the area but the winds are really high today. Only 26 more days until it opens to season pass holders!
It has been very boring recently. Change the angle of the camera. Nothing has really changed since the train was put on. Plenty of work still to do in one month.
They have so much to do in such little D:They have yet to finish: pouring all enterence que sidewalk/ X-logo, putting up que guardrails, the water element has yet to be finished (decor & pump), the exterior of the station doesn't appear to be finished, the entrance sign needs to be placed, the Xcessories gift shop hasn't been put in, sidewalk lights haven't started, the hangar isn't close to done, the keyhole has barely started if started at all, the train "cases" aren't put on, and lastly landscaping hasn't begun unless they are going to run the ride surrounded by dirt. (I may be wrong with some of this but i'm just stating it as what it appears)

I have a feeling most of the theming is pre-fabbed crap they just need to bolt together, I definitely don't think they'll pour a solid concrete tower. Landscaping should take a couple days tops...just some sod and a ton of water. I don't see any trees being entered for awhile...my biggest concern is the train tracks...they start those?

The tower and hanger will probably just bolt together. Once the foundation is done those will probably be up within a day or two. There is no way they are going to make a solid concert tower. Its probably just two sides and a top.
Right now there are a few guys working on ladders in the station. Not sure what they are doing but it looks like they are hanging something from the roof on the left side of the station. Maybe they are lights.
