Ride After Dark: New SFGAm season passholder program

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby EVOed8 on January 20th, 2004, 5:35 pm
There will be 3 ERT nights for SFGAm season passholders this year. I believe it's a program called "Ride After Dark". SFGAm mentioned it at NCC, sounds like an amazing program. They said season passholders will receive other benefits as well.

Discounts throughout the park on food and merch... from there I forget (I drink too much) so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Like only on those days or all the time?
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

Is only for SFGAM season passholders or all Six flags season passholders? I got mine down in Kentucky.
Waiting to fill this space with something stupid to say!

Yeah, I heard about that on Saturday. Someone posted the dates. I believe these are the dates & times:

June 16 - 9-11 PM
July 21 - 10-Midnight
August 11 - 10-Midnight

There might be more dates, I don't know... Hopefully my parents will let me stay for "Coasters After Dark". Sounds like it would be awesome.

ahhh... more benefits for season pass holders.

Does anyone know if they're doing the bring a friend for free or 1/2 price days again? Those were great too.

Most likely you can participate to, because all season passes are valid at all parks, unless it says you have to show your Six Flags Great America Season Pass, you should be fine.

Is this just SFGAm passholders, or can it be a pass from SFWoA? I'm totally sure that SFWoA will go out on a limb and do that program this year. ;)

Will they allow only certain rides during the ERT like on employee ride nights? Or will Six Flags run the whole park, including flats for the extra 2 hours?

Well, if they told the press that they called it "Coasters After Dark", then my best bet would be that just the coasters would be open.

But then again, some people have been calling it "Rides After Dark".

For an extra three hours, I would rather ride coasters than flats. Then again, if I'm working there this summer.......it won't matter either way.

I just came across this- Six Flags Great Adventure's opening day is April 3 but they are having a Coasters After Dark on April 2 for season pass holders. Does anybody know if SFGAM will do this on Friday April 30th (Tim Black if your reading this Hint Hint)? Also on Easter sunday SFGAd is open only to pass holders.

I don't think it will be the whole park....and I don't expect empty stations just because it's only passholders....I think the coasters may have a good size queue.

Wow as we go further into the offseason and more announcements are made we'll know for sure if this is going to happen. I'll keep you guys informed with SFWoA also - maybe it'll be a chainwide thing.

It won't be the whole park that is open, just a few coasters. I can't remember which ones were mentioned at NCC, but I'd imagine they'd be:

Raging Bull
Viper
SUF
V2
Batman

I doubt they'd have more than 5 - 7 coasters open.

Again, this isn't confirmed, but how SFGAd did theirs last year, that's what I'm guessing it'd look like.
