However from the sound of it....Great America does not have a very good track record of completing scenery for their rides. From my understanding Raging Bull was supposed to have some similar elements.

I was just making a note that im concerned that they havent started it yet, and that maybe it wont get done.
I really do hope they follow through and do it though.

In the next year or two, now that we have new management, I think it would be awesome to see them go back and complete the plans they had for Raging Bull too. That ride is still the most popular ride at the park, and frankly its queue could use a makeover as well. How sick would that be? They could turn that gravel pit under the ride into something a little nicer, re-work the queue, and build the buildings that were originally designed. If properly done correctly, It could completely change that ride experience.

Any one know of any pictures or a description of what Raging Bull was supposed to have built in terms of themeing? I have heard this before but wasnt able to find anything else.

From what I've heard there were supposed to be more buildings themed the same as the station that the ride would dive into...They were to be located in low areas like the on ride photo, etc. Now if we could just get one building above the tunnel with some fog effects and lighting, I'd be pleased.

As for the railings, nothing a sand blasting wouldn't fix...

Just a random question but does the control tower have to be finished ( or at least framed) before testing begins ?

I think the swarm began testing after the buildings were almost done.

I replied to SFGAm's tweet today asking them if they could get a photo of the station with the gates and everything in place. They replied to me saying they will try but they weren't sure how close they could get to provide an inside shot. A minute later they deleted that tweet for some reason.

K guys I havent posted in a while on the forums but somthing recently happened regarding x flight media day.

The X Flight media day is officialy announced for May 10th and will hame a whole load of awesome. We were told my dad and I have to be there by 4 am in the morning but i probably wont sleep anyway :P. We get to ride it as many times as we want and since it's media day, many news stations will be there. Apperently fox or some station likes to have a kid on their show talk about the ride and we were told that I was going to be the kid so look out for a kid named Tom on the news that day! The designer of x flight will also be there and some others and I get to ask the dude questions. We were ALSO told that since many people are coming from out of town and I live litteraly 20 minutes away, when we get there by 4am we will be one of the first people to ride it. I'm so excited but unfortunatly i have to wait another 40 days or so :S. Whats also awesome is that there will be FREE FOOD! COUNTING THE DATES!

So is anyone else going?

SFGAm Twitter is saying pictures of the station and/or trains will be posted once they get a certain amount of followers.

Thanks for catching that (Threaten***). And I wouldnt mind an unexcused absence. I've had perfect attendance all year. I just really hope I don't have any exams on that day. That would totally suck.

I was going to media day to take pictures through COASTER-net but I have an early exam that day which I can't reschedule so it's not going to happen. Anyways, just as a partial confirmation, I asked SFGAm if the season pass day for X-Flight was still on for the 12th and they said yes.

Of course anything can change by then but I would assume it will stay put. I usually activate my pass later in the day when I first go each year but I would assume you need it to ride so I will have to do that first thing.

It's a long story. My dad met a woman who runs the park through the golf course he worked at and he asked about X flight and she said we can come to media day

Also, they're working today. This morning, they had two bucket lifts by the storage tracks probably getting ready to start enclosing them. Unfortunately, the webcam has been down since 7:40am.

I guess a Keyhole, some non nondescript corrugated metal structures, and a retention pond/water feature aren't that bad, right?
