It's been discussed.....it varies. It depends on cloud conditions, temperature, and winds.
That is some really fancy concrete. Wonder why moon phases and sunspot activity don't affect it? It's got the same effect on concrete as all that stuff.
The proper answer is generally footers are allowed to cure for about 2 weeks.

What is the purpose of all these "admin edits" I keep seeing? Its not like we are writing stories for a newspaper for crying out loud. I concur with Goku. If you are going to edit other people then be sure to use proper grammar yourself. Im not questioning authority or attacking you......Im just saying. Seeing "admin edit" on nearly every post recently is beginning to become annoying.

Thanks for the info!! I have been around lurking and waiting for winter to end so roller coaster season can start!! I hope ACE can be involved in some of the pre-opening events so ACE members can get in some rides before it opens to the public.

I would doubt it only because they'd be "stealing" money from their own pockets for the Xtreme Passes.

But it's Six Flag's. So who knows
I checked web site and no where does it state that Xtreme Pass holders are to be the first to ride, only that they have ERT on May 12th. It is very possible the grand opening will be with the park on the 5th. I think people are confused and think by buying an Xtreme pass that they will be the first to ride. Maybe I'm wrong but just my opinion!
Communication has never been their strongest suit.
You would think though that if they were going to change the opening date past what they have already announced in the press it would be plastered all over their website, facebook page etc.
But the 5th is less then 2 months away, so we shall see
When it opens......it opens. There's quite a chain of people/groups that need to do what they need to do well before the "bottom group" (being the leads and ride hosts) get their hands on the controls. Since I've seen May 5th, May 12th, and Memorial Day Weekend in different publications all quoted from park spokeperons, I'd say take your pick!
I called about the xtreem pass and was told that pass holders will be able to ride on the 12th. Early ride time 9-10. I had to pay just for the exit passes everyday.
20 seems a bit overkill because Rob has pointed out there's only so much that can be seen from the outside. SFGAm's Twitter has posted some pretty nice pictures.
How I do it: upload to photobucket (limit 2MB file size so they don't nerf the resolution) then use IMG code to link to forums.

That ride is going to look so menacing right there in county fair. Looking at the site, there is a lot of work to be done yet before opening. Holy cow. The queue hasnt been started yet, the keyhole and hangar elements have not been started, the pathway in front of the coaster looks like its all torn up, and the train tracks still need to be put back in place, not to mention the scenery that needs to be done. I also really hope they plant some trees and what not. This area is going to look so bare and open compared to last year.
I must say the one thing I am going to miss about this area of the park is the shaded quiet atmosphere that it had between the year Antique cars closed and this year. Last year this was a very pleasant area of the park to be in just because of how quiet the immediate area was. I used to love to sit and eat lunch or dinner here peacefully with the roar of B&Ms in the distance and the occasional sound of Eagles train cresting the top of the lift hill. It was a great spot to just sit and take in the atmosphere. Gonna have to find a new spot this year.

But on the plus side no more 5 years olds singing Keisha or other very "appropriate" songs while you eat
