^ I doubt Dark Knight will go anywhere for a long time. No other coaster would fit in its spot, it runs the way its designed to, and runs in any weather. If the park were looking to clear a Wild Mouse sized piece of land, they can take Cajun out.
And another hyper? What do you think SFGAm is? Canada's Wonderland?
You know what I hate? We always have one area every season for the past 4-5 seasons that is barren and open space. Deja Vu got filled fast but Splash Water Falls was empty for 4 seasons! And who knows when the former IW area will see a new ride...Why even keep such an old station? It is older than iron Wolf!

Gosh I wish! I can't believe they're getting another. Behemoth is a good ride even though its just out&back so is leviathan.

Do you think theres more of a chance a new coaster goes into Wolfs spot or flat ride or some other attraction?
Also, how much longer do you think The Dark Knights stay at Great America will last?
I don't think that we need a floor less to be honest. X-flight basically takes floor less to the next level. Even though a floor less would fit nicely in that area. Like The dark knight at new england, or like bizarro.
^ I know that. I was making the joke based on how little else is different. They're both B&Ms, both out and backs, and both have chain lifts. And Hypers and Gigas are basically the same in every way except size.
Yeah thats what i meant. Its just that when i think of Giga i think intamin. A b&m hyper is just a small b&m giga. They look the same and do the same. But i have to say; Leviathan's drop looks amazing.
My vote for Iron Wolf's spot, and something I've been hoping the park would add for quite a few years, would be an S&S Screamin Swing (ala: SkyHawk @ CP) I absolutely love that ride, and there isn't one - or any type of thrill like it any where in the area.
Sure - all of us would LOVE another coaster, but our park (after X-Flight) won't really be missing anything spectacular anymore. Let's see what coaster technology is introduced within the next few years. THEN we can start getting greedy again : )

Very good point Jeff, I do know the closest Screamin Swing near me is at Mt. Olympus, Wisconsin. But i never have been on it! That could be a great addition because it as HUGE for Olympus when it opened. We should be good with roller coasters, but I would just hate to see nothing installed in Wolf's spot. I'm sure we will see something there in next couple seasons perhaps.
now I know this is kinda getting off topic for this thread......but since everyone else is posting about wolf I may as well give my 2 cents. I was looking at a satellite image, and If a new coaster went there and the angle of the first drop was changed just slightly, that lift hill could easily be twice as tall as it was before. And there is quite a bit of room on that side of the park, especially if they altered the railroad just slightly. I personally hope they save that piece of land for something bigger a few years down the road. There are a few other open spots that could be filled first.
This is way more frequent capturing than what I'm currently doing. It's a pretty awesome video. Except I'm not sure why the pictures are zoomed in and out unevenly... Hopefully it's fixed in the final version, because it was distracting.

As far as a normal floorless, I've always thought Raging Bull would be a good candidate for a conversion. It's a minimal investment, and it allows them to market it as a new ride experience. However, with the recent budget issues the park has seen over the last few years, they probably would have done that by now if they were looking for cheap improvements. I don't think it will happen by any means though.
^^ Bull as a floorless? No thank you! The purpose of the floorless coaster is the multiple inversions they have so this would be pointless on a hyper-twister coaster in my opinion. I like Bull exactly how it is. The one thing that could make it better would be to finish the theming n it, which we know will never happen.
I think RB as a florless would be a bad idea because all floorlesses have an over shoulder harness and I think the lap bar gives you more room witch makes it more fun/scary.
I see the track and most of the station being done by next weekend. The station in the animation looked every awesome in my opinion. It looks like you're leaving a hangar and heading out to fly.
Don't fight the Bull, ride the Bull!
Best 2011 Moment: "I lost my phone on Raging Bull!" "WELL I LOST A SOCK!!!" Best 2012 Moment: "No good! DREAM ON!" Best 2013 Moment: "I came here for Auntie Anne's pretzels and coasters......in that order!"
I agree... and the stations exterior didn't seem very complex so I would think they'll get most of it don't this coming week. Track with probably be done by Thursday. Hopefully then they'll start construction the the tower & hanger. I hope six flags posts some pictures soon!
While the track could be done this week, I think it is more likely to be finished next week. Remember that there is a support still not up in the helix and no supports for the brake run or transfer track.

So what you're saying is they should have put a water ride in half the space the lot provided and have no 2012 coaster?
Hey now boys & girls, Behemoth & Leviathan are such a kick ass duo!! I would love a B&M giga here & I would literally keel over if we got one after XFlight. Leviathan is more twisted than Behemoth, B is about air, Lev is about speed... theyre totally different in my opinion.
