Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Here is what the The Swarm's trains look like.

I wish X-Flight had lights on the front of the train or even underneath the seats of the cars. That would definitely be a cool design.

I'm very sure they aren't even going to get started on those until after the track is added. That's just the right thing to do. No coaster I've seen has had the scenery built with or before the coaster itself.

The brake run has been put up! Is that the part leading into the station or the run before the turn into the station? I think it may be the run leading into the station or the station segment itself.

EDIT: Seeing how the pieces put up today are so close to the larger support in front of it, I would assume it's for the station. I missed that at first.

Due the the way the the top of the support looks i think that it is part of the zero g roll. But that is just my opinion, I may be wrong.

I agree that it is not for the lift. It's way off to the right of the brake run they just installed which I believe is the station. Wonder if they will work the rest of the week with the 10 inches of snow on the way?

The track that went up today is for the station. The large support is the 2nd main support for the zero-g roll. Snow has no effect on vertical construction so they should work Friday. They probably will not work tomorrow due to the 30mph sustained wind with 40mph gusts.

That's definitely the station. I would imagine they're pretty close to building the lift hill by now.

Not exactly, it's a lot easier to get the track below the lift first.

Why would they need to put supports if it was the station....

^ The renderings clearly show the station is not at ground level, so not sure how anyone would get the idea that the track would sit directly on the footers.

I think you're right. Based on the renderings we have to reference that does look like the support for the zero g. If everyone is freaking out about how big this one is wait til they put up the lift hill supports.. also i watched a video montage of Swarm's construction. First they put up that little piece like we have first at the bottom of the drop then they put up station then the lift supports followed by lift track. They then proceeded onto the drop working from the bottom up. Then zero g and the rest of the track. I think B&M's all go up the same way in the same order. So i'd expect we see some lift hill action next

I think he thought it sat on a cement foundation....which it obviously doesn't.

Why would you assume I think that?

I obviously know that the station doesn't "float" or sit on cement, but I didn't know it required as many supports as other track, because it's sitting a large station.

It requires most supports because of how the weight is distributed, that's all....Im guessing

Explain....?

Being inside a large station building has no effect on how much support is needed. The ride supports and track are completely independent from the station building.

One reason why X-Flight has so many station supports is because the Wing Coasters use different track which has a very shallow spine.

It's amazing how with the snow on the ground, you can define things (supports and track) more clearly. However, I'm disregarding the fact that ice keeps blocking part of the camera view.

After seeing that zero-g support i realized i underestimated the height of this thing. 125ft would put it as the third biggest drop among SFGAm coasters. When it was announced i saw the height and went 'well its no raging bull' but then after seeing all the other elements packed into this wing-rider, i guess i was more focused on the other things.

well 55 mph aint bad and its got 5 inversions. Also if you have ever been front row on any type of floorless with the track rushing below your feet it feels pretty fast. X-flight is going to feel faster than it really is.

Is that "A frame support" touching the ME in America is that the zero G or part of the lift/drop?

That is a support one the exit side of the first roll. Some of the lift supports canalready be seen in front of the recently placed station track.
