I see these pictures of X-Flight pieces on Facebook/ Where is that field located?

You can see in the second photo, based on Superman's lift, that it's next to the access road southeast of Superman, between it and the employee lot. If you look at the park on Google Earth, you can see the field there.
now that I see the field on google maps, is there any way to see it on any ride?

You should be able to see it on all the big stuff. On American Eagle it would be further back to the right where on Raging Bull it would just be off to your right. I hope I'm looking at the right field. Is it the one by the employee lot?

I would assume at the top of Superman's lift, since the lift is visible from the photo.
Superman, Condor, Batman, Eagle, Bull and formerly especially Iron Wolf give a view of that hill, along with the playground structure in South Park which is pretty much on the other side of the fence

I'm willing to bet the reason the old "gas station" building is staying because it houses 1 of 2 things (or both). Since SplashWater falls was there, which was a water hog, it can be a pump house, from which the whole area might be served. My other theory is that it houses transformers and fused disconnect panels, which at one time powered SWF, and will now power X-Flight. Just my guess.
boy is that track pppppppuuuuurrrrrrddddyyyyyyy. This is like porn for roller coaster freaks . I am willing to bet money that the old raceway garage will be used for one of two things or both: a) the on-ride photo booth b) a gift shop that will house x-flight merchandise that you have to walk through at the end of the ride. I highly doubt that would put that enormous roll-up door on the front of the building if all it housed was electrical transformers. Part of the building may, but I do not think the whole thing does.
Correct me if im wrong, but I thought most of the electrical infrastructure in the park was located in those pipes underground such as the one they were working on over by BULL a few weeks ago.
my bad. It looks newer, I could not see that from the previous picture and I did not pay too much attention to that building when I was at the park. Even so though, that proves there is a large open space inside there, and not just transformers and pumps
I'm betting it wont be for anything other then an on-ride photo booth or merchandise store. You look at some of the newer rides that were added in the past and you see a pretty constant pattern. Plus this will probably be the busiest attraction for many years so why would six flags pass a money maker like that?
Don't fight the Bull, ride the Bull!
Best 2011 Moment: "I lost my phone on Raging Bull!" "WELL I LOST A SOCK!!!" Best 2012 Moment: "No good! DREAM ON!" Best 2013 Moment: "I came here for Auntie Anne's pretzels and coasters......in that order!"
Nope, Doubt that too. There are footer markings near there. I believe that will be the turn before the inline twist through the tower.
edit: Here's an idea of what I think X-Flight will really look like. This is just a 2-minute photoshop so don't judge me. I still think it needs to be rotated more to the left and moved more to the down-right....not mention it practically intersects demons last turn But I didn't feel like doing it over. Just use your imagination.

I hope the camera does get put up to let everyone see updates on X Flight and I hope it happens before the season ends. They are mostly done with the leveling. It will only get better from here on out.
I just messed with trying to fit the X-Flight ride image onto a the Bing Maps bird's eye view of the site. With the imagery we have, it impossible to get it just right, because the direction of the Bing Maps images are restricted to the 4 directions, and if you personally choose the angle in Google Earth/Maps, then it's looking straight down, which isn't what the X-Flight image does. The key is just realizing that the first drop is exactly parallel with the Southwest Territory sign, just in front of it, and you swoop right past the Demon curve extremely close. I used Déjà Vu as a gauge for how to scale X-Flight based on height. But despite all my efforts it still won't match up right.
It's because the X-Flight image is a 3D rendering while Bing Maps is only just a flat image. So the maps don't have any depth. That makes lining X-Flight up in the image twice as hard.
