Is Primal Scream a haunted house? It says on Six Flags Great America Facebook page that there's a 3rd new haunted house which is the Massacre Medical Center but there are 4 houses listed.
I am just really happy that they appear to be retheming all of the rides that used to be rethemed in the past. I remember when Eagle was rethemed as Black Widow and it had black panels covering the station and all the lights were replaced with red ones! I just hope the King Chaos will be rethemed as Blood Bath and red blood water put in the pond as well! Everything actually looks really cool and well done this year. Even Whizzer is getting a new name, instead of the old Swamp Thing! Sounds awesome and can't wait for Fright Fest 2011! Not to mention that they are advertising it saying more ghosts, more gouls and more fright than ever before!!!
As Hometown Fun Machine, Giant Drop, and Revolution are all gonna be renamed this year. So a lot of rides will be renamed this season! Awesome!
Plus they are renaming all the different sections of the park, which they have not done in the past!

When they "toxic dump" behind Superman, are they referring to that lake/pond outside the park or are they saying that Whizzer's swamp water is the toxic dump? I'm a bit confused on that story.
I think it's just poor editing on the website about Biohazard. That figure was / is a Predator statue. Not the same statue, but this is basically what he looks like without the covering: http://www.lifesizedstatues.com/images/ ... ueFull.jpg
For Saw not being there anymore, I think that all has to do with Six Flags trying to do away with outside of SF franchises. For Saw, they probably have to pay the Saw people money to do that, and than get some profit, but all that money is probably not going to them. For Whizzer, and no Swamp Thing I think they could possibly get in trouble for naming it that because Swamp Thing is a 1980's movie, and they don't want to pay them anything. Now, Pit and the Pendulumn, and the Birds they could probably get away with naming it those because those are 1960's movies.

Do you remember what I mean though? The last turn on Whizzer "Swamp Thing" last year was a figure with a sack over its head just standing still. I was assuming that was the Swamp Thing.
Top 3 Steel Coasters: 1. The Incredible Hulk 2. Maverick 3. Dragon Challenge (Fireball)
Top 3 Wood Coasters: 1. The Beast 2. American Eagle (Red) 3. Hades
There were a couple years where Iron Wolf was called "Predator" during Fright Fest and had green lights and fog around it as well as that figure (it's the Predator from the movie). For whatever reason they went back to the Iron Werewolf name during FF and put the Predator figure at Whizzer and called it Swamp Thing.
If you've checked out the other park's Fright Fest sites...all the stories are the same...I think those might have been a template and would expect them to be updated.
Captain, don't shake the passengers up too much this time! Just giving them their money's worth!

I know exactly what you mean, but what I'm telling you is that statue was a Predator statue disguised as being from the movie Swamp Thing, but it's really from the movie Predator. And yeah, they had that same Predator statue like on top of the food stand right near Iron Wolf before another year. Even before that, I think I remember seeing the Predator guy around Whizzer, but he was on top of a building.
What I like to know is, does the park still have the Alien statue? He looks something like this: http://www.monstergalaxy.com/images/Lif ... n-Prop.jpg What I'm thinking though is that they put him a haunted house, and I don't go in the haunted houses. The one year he was like in a cage for the train near the Hometown Square station, and another year I seen him in a window in Hometown Square around where the Flash Pass is - where you buy it, but it seems like it was a store before.
Last year I don't remember seeing the skeleton band.

Nope, that's just the way Six Flags does things. All I know is that Fright Fest this year is about 10 times as good as ever before.

Primal Scream is an outdoor walk-through attraction taking place inside the Amphitheater, but it's about double the size of the previous outdoor walk-throughs so I would almost considering it a fourth outdoor Haunted House.

I guess it was him which is why I don't remember seeing him around the park anywhere. They just had him clothed with a black or brown cloak over his head and body. Is the skeleton band in Yankee Harbor? I know what you mean but it's been a couple years since I've seen them and I don't remember where they are usually at.

^The skeleton band used to be in Orleans Place above the shop basically to the left of the carousel. It's a Looney Tunes shop, and they were on the balcony, but last year I didn't see them there. They were there the year before though I think.
They used to have a lot more of those type of animatronics at the park before. They used to have skeletons dancing around where you come out of Viper (There's a balcony. It's probably more above the (buffet) restaurant they used to have, but it was near Viper's shop area0, and than there were animatronics above Martha's Chicken in Hometown Square. Really though, those might have been the same set of animatronics different years, but I don't see them anymore?? They were skeleteons dancing, and I think they had skeletons in chairs too.
I know people are really into the scare-actors in the park, but the thing I really like seeing are these animatronics / decorations around the park. It's such a treat to see this stuff year after year. And than when stuff goes missing like the head in the box that talks, or the skeleton band, it becomes a disappointment in a way.

oh ok that's cool. Thank you so much. I can't wait to walk through it
So Primal Scream is going in the ampitheatre then that means studio 13 is goin where saw was last year. It's also ashame that Sevensins won't be returning this year instead some voodoo/ gypsies theme.
Primal Scream will probably be an additional fee since it is listed in the top section with the Haunted Houses, while Necropolis is at the bottom along with the rethemed rides and areas.
Seriously, Terror Twister will be amazing this year, like it has been in the last 2 years. I think on one of the final weekends last year, TT2's line went through the whole queue and went all the way around to the courtyard. It was about a 2 hour line, and so worth it! As soon as I got off, I got back in line. Stuff like this that I can only experience during Fright Fest is worth any way
Ok I kinda have a hard time to word this but Chubasco aka Terror Twister 2 should have a flash pass line only during Fright Fest when it is actually known as TT2. The wait does really get long during the dark hours. I believe I waited 1 hour. The whole queue was full and extended outside. I hope this year tops last year!!
Flash Pass at Terror Twister 2 would be a very bad idea. When you try and add Flash Pass at a ride that doesn't have a Flash Pass integration point, chaos ensues. See Giant Drop and Demon.

I don't know if it's chaos.
You wait, and a ride operator opens the exit gate, and you get on. It just makes loading for the norms more challenging (at least on Giant Drop). people can't follow a yellow line I guess
It's chaos because at Drop, they only have 4 seats per cycle, so if a bunch of Flash Passers show up at the same time, which happens a lot on busy days, the Flash Pass line gets horribly backed up, and everyone gets pissed off.
Hmm Well for TT2 couldn't the flash pass people be let in at the exit as opposed to the normal entrance everyone uses? I don't see what the problem with using flash pass at Demon would be?
