I passed by this last weekend when i stopped by the park for a bit. Had any one tried this yet? From what I saw its like an Arcade game but you dress like Harry Potter to play it. I know my wife and some friends are excited about this but none of them know what it is exactly.
When I walked by to ask about prices it seemed pretty damn kitschy. Workers dressed up in phony medieval outfits and using pretty bad medieval accents to sound authentic . On top of that it seems to cost a bundle for a fairly childish gaming experience. Medieval Times sells their tickets for like $30 a person now, you are probably better off doing that for entertainment. At least you get dinner and a show and TONS more of the people dressed up.
Lol, I am a gamer too and this doesn't look like a game that is worth playing unless it is free.
What system do you play games on? If its the Wii, then I understand. But the graphics and gameplay all look VERY cheesy, and you can buy a brand new game to keep for this price.
Great for the kids I am sure, but we need to look out for each other here, and Magiquest is clearly not a good deal.
So it looks like the Yorktown Shopping center mall has a brand new magiquest center for everyone to play. Wonder if its any better or worse than the one that was at SFGAm?

magiquest in Yorktown Shopping center is 10 times better then the SFGAm one
I think everyone is so insecure about what others think nowadays that people would be afraid to try magiquest. Like people are afraid of other people's reactions if they tried magiquest. Its not a childs game. Everyone can and should play it. I dont care what others think or say. I definitely still want to try magiquest!!
I am into fantasy/renaisance/gaming but I am a penny pincher, and it didn't seem worth the cost and it did seem cheap and cheesy for the xperience vs the cost. I would have tried it if I had the extra cash to throw away, but I had better have alot of extra cash. I looked at it last season.
It's fun to try as it really is a cross between hi tech scavenger hunt and basic video game crossed with puzzles. It was fun when i got to do it for free, and my 7 year old son at the time liked it, but it really is squarely aimed at smaller children.
