Sorry for bumping a thread from last summer but I went to the park today and the Stride ads were gone! Ha! The Demon has finally taken back his train! :P

Yeah, I went during the week and neither of the trains (black and yellow IIRC) had any of that. It was my first time back during the regular season in about 2 years, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear the old soundtrack all around the park. That was unexpected and appreciated. If that is here to stay, I can live with train wraps.

I've gotta say- am I alone in being such a fan of Demon's drop off the lift? Probably the purest fun you could find in the entire park.

Looking like something from NoLimits is a pretty good compliment since back when Demon was built it was nothing more than numbers on paper with the calculations done either by hand or with a slide rule. No CAD, no automated production, nothing.

Just went to the park today and got two rides on Demon, and I can say this ride looks so much better now. Actually it doesn't really hurt my head anymore :D

I didn't realize they got rid of the ads starting this week.

Unfortunately. :x
C'mon, the Whizzer is our classic and oldest coaster in the park, but yet the Whizzer's the one still with the ads.

It was designed with the finest coat hangers available back in the day.

Think I have a picture from the front car going into the station where this same section of track looks really, really crooked. The picture in this thread doesn't make it look so bad -- a straight piece of brake run for the transfer track that transitions into a slight downhill run into the station -- makes sense to me.

That's why I like the ride so much! Such a thrill to come up into the station and be surprised at how thick the rails look and how low into the track you sit. It really must have been amazing to see this thing when it opened. #oldrollercoastersftw

Wouldn't it be funny if the park is just waiting to put on new wraps of Snickers and Twix for Fright Fest? :D

Kinds off-topic here but for Frightfest why can't they put some scary ads or something on the coasters? I mean if they can easily slap on a sticker and take it off, why not something scary too??

Back on topic, I am glad to see no more ads. :D
