RipTide Bay does not need to be done/ready for the May 7th opening of the theme park. Even Hurricane Harbor is not ready (No water in the pools) till a few weeks before Memorial Day. With that said, I am not 100% confident that RipTide Bay will be ready in 4 weeks, but you never know.
I just was looking at the webcan earlier and I could swear that there is some type of lighting system on the funnel slides that changes colors. It looks really neat. They look like some type of L.E.D. lighing system of some sort. I don't know if Im just seeing things but if you look, there are some type of lights on the slide.
that's great i think the water park very much needed something new BUT they should have focused on the amusement park i think they need to add some new thrill rides such as: a ripcord or a slingshot or something a little smaller and focus on updating there existing rides then think about doin that
^what?! Do you visit SFGAm? There is a "Ripcord" style ride here. Its called Dare Devil Dive, an upcharge attraction & why do we need/want another upcharge ride?! Lame, unnecessary. To be honest, with this entire area of the park(cars/SWF area) not bein on the map & slowly disappearing, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the last season for DDD.
Well, it looks like the RIptide Bay webcam is no longer on or gone. I tried going to the site but it tells me the page is missing and it re-directs me to the Six Flags general website. Wonder why its gone?
Same here. It was working right around when I posted about Media Day.
That is really strange. I just checked now and it says the page is missing and when I go to riptidebay.com, it takes me to the Six Flags general page. The webcam has worked at night this time before, in case any of you assume the webcam doesn't work at night, it has.
So RTB opens May 26th just for media day? So it will be closed all the rest of Memorial Day weekend? I also noticed tha our coupon books say "sneak preview for season pass holders June 3rd" I believe it said....so wth is goin on? WHEN does it officially open?
They took the media day info off of the Riptide Bay site. I can access the site by going to SFGAm's page, but not typing riptidebay.com in directly. Its weird.
For those interested, the park's facebook page is taking the first 100 RSVP's for the media day. Not sure if there are any left, but better send in fast if you want a shot.
Well, it's too bad that the webcam isn't on the site anymore, but it doesn't really matter now with the season starting since we can just see the construction from the actual park. Riptide Bay is so close to opening! This is so much better than the potential Chang.
