Tickets will be on sale Opening Weekend Only for only $19.81!!

This is to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the American Eagle! It opened in 1981 thus the ticket prices being $19.81. Opening weekend only and online only!! Get them now. I think this is the cheapest price I've ever seen a ticket go for. You will almost never see tickets for that cheap!

I don't like it at all. I enjoy the relatively empty opening days. At $19.81, I'm worried both Opening Day and Mother's Day will be packed.

Between this and Facebook, they are really pushing the 30th of Eagle. Should help get more people into the parks opening weekend, something they could use based of past years.

Even if there are cheap tickets for opening weekend, the crowds will all depend on THE WEATHER!!!! And besides, I think now a days people just purchase season passes instead of tickets. Example being the Coasters after Dark event being so damn crowded these past couple of seasons. Never agian will I attend one of those things.

^Very true on the weather, although people do love a good deal. Perfect chance for them to sell the upgrade or Twicket(if it still there.)

CAD events are like Extra Magic Hours here at WDW. People think they are exclusive and no one will go. Problem is almost everyone thinks that way. Although there not a lot of people at the Magic Kingdom at 3 am compared to the insanity of CAD.

Other parks that did that, SFOG and SFStL had extremely crowded opening weekends.

Darn...all these posts make me not wanna go opening weekend. I'm afraid I will be disappointed opening day if theres large crowds. And I definitely DO NOT wanna be disappointed opening day. I was super mad the day before Halloween last year when I went to Frightfest. My last day of the 2010 season was the worst day I've ever been to SFGAm and I definitely do not want a terrible start to my 2011 season either!!! Screwed 2 times in a row!!! :x

I always knew there would come a day the price for parking would exceed the price of admission :)

Going in expecting nothing and go from there. If it is crowded, just enjoy being at a park. Even if it is a "bad" day, there is always future visits to look forward to.

Come on people its opening day!!! Dont let those stupid crowds get to you and effect your opening day experience. I don't know about you but i'll wait for 2hrs for Bull on opening day if I have to!!! I figure that if I could survive the longest off season I have ever experienced in my life, I can certanly wait another 2hrs.

I have a Basketball tournament in Libertyville that weekend. So I may be heading back and forth between ganes, but you probably wont see me there. :-/ Really bummed because last year was my first Opening Day and was great. I got to meet some of you guys, and I was hoping I could meet more this year. We'll see.

Season pass parking also costs more than a season pass for the park, very sad!!!

^ Sad indeed, but in my opinion that says more about the cheapness of the Season Pass than the expense of the Season Parking.

looks like saturday the seventh's weather is a high of 55 and a 20% chance of precipitation. i'll take it
You really find how dumb the general public is about theme parks when you read the park's facebook page. Then again, we're all just nerds/

The forcast WILL change. It changes about every hour, especially if it is 10 days away. The best chance to get an accurate forcast is not until next Friday.
