I dont think that the eaglr would get taken down. It is too important to the park. The first thing you see when you are driving down the highway is its huge helix. It is like a landmark that identifies the park. Alot of people really like the ride and there would be alot of complaints. The land that would be opened up is long but it isnt very wide. It really limits what you can build there. Taking it down doesnt really give any advantages to the park, at least thats how i see it.

I think Whizzer will meet the parking lot next... The Question now is if it does will it meet the same fate as SkyWhirl and possibly ShockWave? If you dont know what im talking about..... Cut in pieces and sent to the Recycling plant :( OH THE HOOROR

Sad to say, but it's the Whizzer. Look how close it was to coming out last year. It's been on the list for quite some time now...

I hate Whizzer I hope it goes the sooner the better. I was so happywhen I first heard it was going to be taken down, then I heard it wouldn't and i was p****d off. Anyways, its defitely going in the next few years because in the article in the Daily Hearld about it it said we are taking down Whizzer as a start to rebuilding Hometown Square or something like that so it's going to go soon.

I want the wizzer to go too. I think it is a lame ride and the area around it would be great for a new ride. All of the trees and the water could really benefit a new ride of any kind. Its a shame that an area that good is taken up by a much lesser ride than what could have been there. (S:UF for example)

You guys make me sick.Awwwwww, Whizzer isnt intense enough for you? You know what? To bad. This coaster is the only one left of its kind in the country and the only coaster in the park that adults and kids 36" and taller can enjoy.Tell ya what. Why dont we just ask SF to tear the whole park down and just start over from scratch? We can have them just construct only 500ft tall and speeds of 100 mph plus on all their coasters. Would that make you guys feel better?

I'm with Chitown. Sure, Whizzer isn't the best ride I've ridden, but its a good coaster. I don't see when it would be taken out, since now I sense that American Eagle might be taken out before they take out Whizzer.

Very well said!!! I agree with everything you just said. I mean intensity doesn't have anything to do with how fun and exciting a coaster is. There need to be more less intense coasters built. Nowadays it's just all big huge, who can get the record first... I mean, I have nothing against big intense rides, infact they're essential to a great park. I just think they need coasters that will please everyone. Whizzer is the only coaster my younger sister will ride. If they take it out, it will be pointless for her to go anymore... She would be let down, because she likes going to Great America. Just something to think about...

Josh, for once I agree with you.And where did this Eagle removal crap come from? What would the park gain? A thin strip of land suitable for only an out and back coaster, nothing else, really (maybe the world's tallest ferris wheel, too.)

A S&S Screaming Squrrel would probally fit nicely in Powerdives spot :)I voted for Whizzer in the poll, I personally don't want to see any coasters taken down but I think if one has to go Whizzer will probally be the next one to go. Also who knows how long Deja Vu is going to last with all the problems it has had. I think it will out last Whizzer but I don't think it will outlast any other ride at the park.

The only issue maintenance has with the Whizzer is the lift hill. The rest of the ride is not a problem. If they can re-configure the lift to something other than the electric motors that power the train up, the ride will be around for a long time.

Yea!!! Whizzer has alot of those lifts though. But it will cost more to take it down than to fix the problem if you ask me!!!

Yeah I agree... We should have something S&S. They have a lot of awesome looking rides, especially that Screamin' Squirrel. Some kind of tower would be cool to, maybe a Space Shot/Turbo Drop combo or something...(even though we have Giant Drop) :D

I think and hope that Whizzer will go next. It should have taken the fall instead of Shockwave. I know that SFGAm is in need of tamer rides such as Whizzer, but I just don't get any thrill out of it. On the other hand, I love American Eagle to death and hope that it lives on racing a forwards train and a backwards one.
