If like Disney, they (or you) fill out a form with your info and a copy receipt. From there it takes 2-3 hours for it to get to the front of the park. Give them your name, check the receipts and you are on your way. Never needed to use it at WDW, but friends have and it is great.
Either way, thinking as the gp, I disagree with the lockers and the prices. They should either have the bins or actually have a service at the exit to hold your items. Bins are more predictable though.
I think people need a lesson. If someone thinks it's a good idea to wear flip flops to an amusement park they should be forced to wear them on rides, or at least hold onto them. If they loose them, oh well, no shirt, no shoes..no service, enjoy your early ride home or to a shoe store.
Besides being a common sense thing, how does a park expect to evac someone who's barefoot on a ride such as Raging Bull where it can be a long walk down those very sharp almost serrated to prevent slippage, metal stairs.
Rules like that, at the very least would make people appear more intelligent.

That's the best part, once they are in the park, they already paid, weather they get kicked out or not, it really doesn't affect the park other than perhaps some concession or merch sales. Either that or if they insist on catering to them, give all rides a shoe requirement(which they should have anyways for safety reasons) then sell shoes inside the park and take advantage of their ignorance.

I went on Dragons (B&M invert) and Harry Potter's Forbidden Journey (robocoaster type kuka arm ride) a few hours ago in flip flops with no problems, they stayed on just fine. If i'm going to IOA and even remotely interested in riding Ripsaw Falls or think there is a slight chance of being dragged onto Bluto, there is no way in hell I am wearing shoes .

The ride ops bring people their shoes up before taking them off the ride, happens all the time.
It's not impossible you just need to be responsible enough to know not to kick them off by accident, and to be honest considering how some people act at parks leads me think i'd rather have most people take off their flops. The only time I vividly remember remember seeing people lose flip flops on coasters is when they are getting in/out of the trains and they fall off under the track in the station. However on King Chaos I have had to go fishing for flip flops with a flashlight in pitch darkness on the railroad tracks behind the ride a couple times..which is why even though they are required on the ride, if the person is not tall enough to firmly plant their feet on the floor of the gondola I would never enforce that rule .
^Nice to see we were both at potter yesterday in sandals/flip flops. Personally I hold my sandals when riding Dragons, but the lack of the toe divider is not good on drops.
And those "idiots" that wear flip-flops to parks are most likely going to or coming from the water park. There is not a chance I would ever wear shoes on a day I will be around water. If people can not wait an extra 10-20 seconds to ride a ride, it's kind of sad.
I've never really concerned myself with it as I wear 8 inch steel toes at all times (including entering and exiting waterparks ), but even 10 seconds added to even every other dispatch adds up to quite a bit lost capacity over an hour.
Not saying people shouldn't wear them, just if they do, it should be mandatory that they go with you on all rides, and if you loose them, there are consequences to suffer, aka, ride home or to a shoe store.

Plus we don't want idiots or kids going after their lost objects and articles of clothing in restricted areas by accident. Sorry for asking but wasn't a kid decapitated by a train because he lost his hat while riding a coaster and he went looking for the hat?
Its a park by park decision.I know SFNE, SFStL and GAdv will still be forcing people to use them, but for souvenir bottles, there will be a rack in the station to put the bottle on it.
SFGAm's loose article policy is still in effect, and the lockers are optional....and if you have wallets with a lot of money in them, it would probably be a good idea to use them.
