I am sooooooooooo bored!!! :? Christmas didn't feel like Christmas and I'm not really doing anything for new years. I mean after this weekend, there really isn't anything else to look forward to. My birthday isn't until the summer, nothing big is happening. It feel like the snow has been here for like 2 months already, winter officially started last week, and I hate winter. This is gonna be a long long wait.
But hey...its been just about 2 months since the park closed, which has gone by fast! Also, after next week there is only 4 months until the park opens. Um....still kinda sounds like a long time away haha.

What is everyone else doing during this long winter season? Anyone else kinda antsy for the park to re-open?? lol Sorry, I'm really bored and am very active on this site haha.

^If its possible, try to plan a trip to six flags st. louis for there opening weekend. Thats what i plan on doing if everything works out good on my end. This way you can bring down a 4 month wait down to a 3 1/2 month wait!

I'm also planning a trip to SFStL but it won't be until late May.

I don't really know what to say about the video... It's jittery and has same-old content.

Yeah about that, I'd really like to go, but my friends are also cheapa$$e$ lol. I'd like to get a group of people to go but not many people by me would be willing to go that far. Sorry but a bunch of people I know wouldn't wanna throw away a lot of money. I'm one of the few I know who can afford to go with other people. Thats why we all stick to SFGAm only. :( How far of a drive is it btw to st. louis??

^ From Libertyville it is around 6 hours, give or take depending on how you drive. If you get 3-4 people to go for 2 days, the total cost for everyone would be 50-75 max if you have AP's.

2011 Schedule has been posted. Hours have been cut in a few spots, but not as bad as it could have been. Sundays in May are now 10:00-7:00. Saturdays in May are still 10:00-8:00. All three days of Memorial Day Weekend have had an hour cut off. Saturday and Sunday close at 9:00, Monday at 8:00. 4 weekdays have been cut from May, the 1st Friday, 2nd Wednesday, and 3rd Monday and Tuesday.

First 2 weeks of June have also had cuts. Weekdays are still 10:00-7:00, but Saturdays are now 10:00-9:00 and Sundays 10:00-8:00 instead of 10:00-10:00. 3rd week of June weekdays are 10:00-8:00 instead of 10:00-9:00. Daily 10:00-10:00 operation is June 18th - August 7th, same as last year. August hasn't changed any from last year. September is also the same as last year.

The two BIG changes are Fright Fest hours. Friday nights are the same as usual 5:00-11:00 and Columbus Day is still 10:00-6:00. Saturdays are now 11:00-11:00 and Sundays are now 11:00-9:00.

That sucks, Higher ticket prices and shorter operating hours? How's that fair for the non-season pass holders?

Well same reason for the hour cuts throughout the season. Money Saving. If you think about it logically, Six Flags makes a profit, it's possible you'll see improvements over the coming years.

The cuts at Great America are not bad compared to St. Louis, I'm planning a trip there and the hours aren't great.

^Not just there either. Six Flags Over Texas and Fiesta Texas are bad. The first 2 weeks in June, when I'm going Fiesta Texas, the weekday hours are 10:30-6.

Meh, honestly, the cuts are not bad at all. One hour cuts? I mean during July/August the park is pretty much crowded everyday. I tend to go to the park a lot from opening day till about end of june-ish, then continue again at the end of august when the kids go back to school. :D

The really only thing that kind of bothered me was that Sundays during Frightfest, the park closes at 9pm. :( I mean didn't it used to be open until 10pm?? Plus Frightfest is only worth going to at night. Why couldn't they just cut another hour from the opening time and add that hour to the closing nighttime?? That way the park would open at noon and close at 10pm. That would be better. :)

Looks like the last day of the 2011 season is October 30th. I am def gonna learn from last season and stay clear of the park the last week of Frightfest. Thats a fact. I wonder though, is coasters after dark still gonna happen now that the hours have been cut? Maybe they won't do that this year?

You stated above it's just an hour, so why does it matter more during Fright Fest? Sunday nights are slow with school the next day, thus less families and teens at the park.

I wish that one year they will start fright fest in the last two weekends in september like halloween haunt/halloweekedns(whatever they call it now a days) at cedar point. Since Fright Fest is one of the most bussiest times of the season, the park could pull in more profits.

That could be true, but then the park would need to be closed weekdays earlier in order to set up. Which could lead to reduced profits. It's all about timing....

They could be like Disney who starts their Not so Scary events in August some years.
