The Raging Bull lovers

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby tp41190 on November 2nd, 2010, 11:36 pm
OK, so I have a question. Has anyone ever come across a group of 2 or 3 people that always stand at the last row of Raging Bull so they can get the last ride? I don't want to be mean but a general description is the women has red hair and is a bit shorter, the guy has glasses, and the other one wears jean shorts and a blue ACE jacket that says "Big Boo".

Well I have always had problems with them because they will have one of them blocking the last row while the others sneak in from another row and quick jump in the last row. They then cry and complain if they don't get it. Now on Friday me and my friends beat their system and they ended up not getting the last ride in the last row on both Friday and Closing (this also happened last year closing day). Now I really don't care if I get the last ride or not, but I do care about people line jumping and making a scene while they pretty much are saying "Hey, we DESERVE the last ride in the last row". And if this isn't enough, they also have to be the last people out of the station and down the exit. One time I was taking a long exposure off of the exit ramp and they waiting behind me for a good 2 mins until I continued walking.

So has anyone else ever had a similar experience with these people?

Remember you are better than them and move in. If someone must have the last ride each day to feel big, that is just sad.

I understand why they did that. They did that because they want to brag to others that they got the last ride, and they were the last ones off the platform. Really, like it matters though. It's the same thing when people say I got the first ride. Does anyone really care that you got the first train of the day? It's not even the first train of the day because the mechanics have sent it around, and at least one employee needs to ride it before you do. It's just bragging rights.

And no, I don't know who these people are because I barely ever go on Raging Bull anyway.

let's not forget Private events for the first riders. They think they're first on opening day when they're not even close!

Kind of remindes me of black friday when someone will camp out on Thanksgiving day at 5pm till 5am to be the first ones there, and believe me, there are people who has to have that bragging rights.

Who friggin cares if they got the last ride??? If anything they're losers for that. Whats the advantage of getting the last ride as opposed to the first or 5th or 1000th?? Bragging rights?? What bragging rights? You got to ride the last ride on bull? So...who cares? If anything I'd be embarassed to ride the last ride. Are these people always there? No lives?? Raging Bull is always gonna be here and theres always last rides everyday when its open during the regular season. I hope they see this because they're weirdos for doing that. I probably would of asked them what they were doing?

^ I know right! I actually think there is something wrong, mentally. But yeah they are there EVERY day the park is open...no lie.

I don't care if they get the last ride or not. But if I am in line and I just happen to get the last ride in the last row, I don't like the fact that they feel they can line jump because they think they deserve it. However the only reason I tried to get it instead of them is because I find it hilarious. I can't believe people would have such a break down over a ride. The only time I ever felt negative emotion over a ride was when I waiting in line for the front row (almost 30 mins in the station alone) of Bizzaro at SFNE and i was barely going to make the last dispatch. Then right as I am about to board the people had the Platinum Flash pass so they got to ride again. I wasn't mad necessarily because I didn't get to ride in the front, but more because of how poorly it was executed.

And yes I do hope they do see this. They really need figure out what is important in life. Yeah we all spend a lot of time and money to ride coasters...but to cry over them?

Yeah, it's called being a member of ACE!!

Sorry if I offended any ACE members here, but you have to admit, alot of them are just straight up wierd.

I saw these people on 2 different Fridays during FF. I also found it weird, and while it is nice sometimes to be on the last ride of the day, they are more anal about it than anyone else im aware of.

If I happen to see these people next time I'm at the park, I will make it my mission to make sure I get the last ride in the last row and not them. I will also wait on the exit ramp taking pictures for 5 minutes taking some long exposure shots just to make them wait. I find it hilarious that it bugs them that much if they don't get the last ride of the day. I can understand trying to ride things in a certain order, or trying to get a certain ride to be your last of the day, but that is ridiculous.

I always have had better luck on the last ride of V2 getting "one more ride" than I have had on the Bull.

I do not get this obsessive/compulsive behavior, as I would rather ride as many times as possible than wait for trains to go by to get on one specific train and one specific seat, even if the last row of the Bull is one heck of a ride.

Well, some people don't really like kiddie coasters, and will ride them just to increase their coaster count so they can brag about it. Their is a sub-culture of coaster enthusiasts that just love to brag about things to other people - to show that they have been on the most coasters, impress other people, and whatnot. I love to get on rides as much as possible, but I really don't care to keep track of how many roller coasters I've been on. I just want to enjoy the time on them.

I guess what I can say is that what they are doing (It's just as obsessive.) is just as bad as people riding kiddie coasters, borrowing kids, and not even really caring about those kiddie coasters just to say I have ridden this many coasters. I have rode the Little Dipper a couple of times at Great America, and it's not for a coaster credit. It's because I used to go on Little Dipper at Kiddieland all the time (even a year before it closed down), and I enjoyed it. Sure, to me it wasn't as good as the Polyp, Tilt-A-Whirl, or Dip N Drop, but it was fun. The reason for me riding that is to have fun on it, and not just to add up to how many coasters I have been on.

There are people though that do that. They go on countless of the same type of kiddie coaster (Let's say Vekoma Roller Skaters) all over the country just to keep on adding them up, and up. And they won't go on them again, and again. They just want the credit.

And to me, there is nothing wrong with riding kiddie coasters as long as you ENJOY them. Though, people can do what they want in life. If they want to spend their time on every coaster just to go on every coaster, I guess more power to them. A coaster credit kiddie coaster, that's just something different. I admit that I do like some kiddie coasters, and I do go on them multiple times, but that's because I enjoy them, and not just for a credit. The ones I have really liked are the Dragon at the Dorney Park because that was always one of my favorite rides at Santa's Village (not the exact one, but very similar), and that ride to me is still awesome. It's pretty forceful for a kiddie ride. Also, I liked those two Vekoma's at Cypress Gardens, but now that place is gone! - the inverted, and a much bigger sized roller skater. In my opinion, the Kings Island kiddie wooden coaster is a little better than the Little Dipper too, and that's fun.

Holy cow Woodstock Express is the same ride that was at Cypress Gardens, and that is only I think the 2nd ride like that in the US. Next time I go to Cedar Point, I'm going on that Woodstock Express! Hopefully, adults can ride alone. Can't SFGAm tear down Spacely's and get that one instead 335 m?

^But trust me , go to many parks and you will be curious as to how many you have been on. I didn't start keeping track until I hit 90. I got over 250 credits in the last 2 years, it's just something fun to know.

I'll rephrase this, I don't care if I don't get the last ride, as long as they don't. If someone else comes in and can take the last ride on the last row from them, then it's still good. Let's just make this a forum goal next time anyone is at the park. These kinds of people are fun to screw with.

So now we have topics dedicated to a certian few people out of many thousands who have a certian niche when they come to the park? Their season passes are just as good as yours, if they want the last ride, and it doesn't matter to you, than don't worry about it. Personally I don't care if it's the last ride or the 208th, so long as I get a night ride on Eagle and Whizzer 8)

Wow, it's been a REALLY long time since I've been on this site. To answer your question though, Coasterdude, the only reason why it's such a concern on this thread is because it directly affected the person who posted on this thread first, my dad, and I since we almost did not get the last ride in the last row because of them, despite the fact that we all had waited fairly for the last ride in the last row.

Honestly though, what sucks for them is that if they all had just waited in their row like everyone else, they would have been able to get on the last ride in the last row like they preferred.
