This could be the answer for a high capacity coaster.

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Freestyle Music Park in Myrtle Beach is now going through foreclosure proceedings. All of the rides there are only a few years old. Six Flags could snatch the B&M looper at that park on the cheap (formally called Led Zeppelin). This would solve the need for a high capacity coaster to put in the place of where Chang was going to go.

I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

The only problem is, I hear nothing good about this ride. Robb Alvey said it's the worst B&M he's ever been on. Hopefully it could be smoothed out. The onboard audio would be good though. Despite that, I'd rather see this than a stand up Chang.

So now Rob Alvey is the authority on coaster riding now? I don't think so.

I actually think this would be a better addition than Chang.

-One more inversion.
-Big Inversions at that. Those would add to the skyline very nicely.
-It's not a stand-up.
-It's not a stand-up.
-It's not a stand-up.
-...It's not a stand-up.

I have no clue how feasible it would actually be for them to buy it. But I would not mind at all if they did.

No, but he's ridden more than any of us. I've heard this from others too. I just don't know any of them by name. Like I said though, this sounds better than Chang.

^I have a hunch this ride would have some intense bidding, if it gets to that point. Someone might overpay.

High quality POV. It does look pretty sweet on here. Could you tell Hank about this Chitown?

I have found that coasterforce makes high quality POVs. I can't stand people filming themselves and talkin when I'm trying to ride the dam ride. Know what I mean?

A looper that has been missing since Shockwave would be great. Capacity is one thing the ride has going for it. Well, and of course reliability.

It ends there, however. If I want to ride an underwhelming B&M coaster, I have Superman. I rode this as Led Zep, and it was just dull.

Speaking of time machines, I wish Six Flags had one to go back to before WoA was sold to Cedar Fair and keep Knight Flight in the company. Used or not, I think that addition to GAm would put it right with B:TR as best steel in the park, and not by a little.

For anyone to say that a B&M coaster is "dull" or force less or whatever stupid comment you can come up with, Needs to think about getting another hobby.

B&M coasters are safer, more reliable and proven compared to any other coaster manufacturer out there.

If they could possibly get back the Led Zeppelin music I would be so happy. I know it would probably never happen, but that supposably made the ride awesome because it was tuned so well. I don't know I can dream...

** Also, since Deja Vu left (R.I.P.) I feel lonely without an imposing cobra roll in the skyline.

*** Also, also, this guy seemed to like it and I haven't seen any horrible reviews of it. http://www.thecoastercritic.com/2008/06 ... -park.html

Yes, B&M do design safe, reliable people eaters. I appreciate that.

I also appreciate an exciting ride, and Zep was not that. Toyota and Honda make safe, reliable cars, but I've never driven one that was as fun as an Audi or even SAAB. Guess I should just stick to walking...

The soonest I believe they could get this up is probably June. Which isn't to bad.

But they have to buy it transport it paint it. It would be a long process. Maybe a 2012 addition?

By using my nifty google maps and ruler technique, it should fit in their pretty well. Plus, if Chang could fit in there, it can fit in there. I just wish they could put it in the back of the park or somewhere to draw more people to the rear and get people away from the front.

I was just thinking that too. If it faced the same way Chang was supposed to, it would go all the way past the flower area with the 6 flags out in front of the entrance. I just can't see GrAm doing that. Otherwise it would have to get turned around and head out into the parking lot parallel with the northern border of Hurricane Harbor. About 3/4 of it would be in the parking lot.
If it went back by Iron Wolf it would really stick out into the employee lot, or they would have to take a few things out in the picnic grove. Don't know that they would want to do that.

To tell you the truth. I also think a Dive Machine would be a good fit at Great America. But, I'm almost certain it will never happen.

A little off topic, but does the area where Chang was going still have the construction new for 2011 around the fence area where SSA used to stand?
I would think that if it is they will need to put something there next year (which I doubt will be a coaster since time is ticking away pretty fast).

Wait, didn't we say high capacity coaster?

-Zamperla? No.
-Vekoma? No.
I don't know about the Zamperla model, but the restraining system on the Vekoma version certainly cuts capacity just by how long it'd take to load a train full of confused guests. And for the twister? Are you joking? I guess Ragin Cajun in the Mardi Gras area of the park, (new for 2004!) isn't on your park map.

-Halfpipe?
You are joking right? Please tell me that was a sick joke.

-Megalite
Possible, but small layout and lack of MCBR is a turn off.

-All the B&M's except the stand-up.
Good idea.

The Twister Coaster was a joke. And so was the Stand-up.
