Souvenir Cups

Even on the off chance you need a locker at Disney, it is $6 for the entire day with key. If you change parks that day, you get a key at the next park for free. It's all about SF seeing the lockers as a way to make money and not caring what customer's think.

You're not going to receive an email back from him either. Adding those bottle holders will be a disaster. People were stealing the bottles out of the bins and are still doing it. Imagine if they're right infront of the entrance. Disaster waiting to happen. Give it up, its a dollar. Are we American's really that cheap? Six Flags was obviously in financial trouble and needed to make a quick buck anyway they could. They're not going to change the policy now. Maybe next season who knows. This topic should just be dropped now before it turns ugly.

Wow - I got a response pretty quickly to my e-mail. He didn't indicate he received my previous e-mail in which I outlined everything - but at least he did reply.

In regards to us "Americans really that cheap" - it isn't the idea of being cheap - it is the idea that they chose to do this at their park - where all other parks I'm familiar with do not have such a policy. It is the idea that when you walk into the park, they offer a $13 souvenir cup to you with free refills - but then you later find out that you then have to pay a buck for every ride you go on. So, it isn't just a dollar - it ends up being potentially $15+ by the time you are done at the park.

As RBrulle pointed out, non-coaster rides seem to allow them - such as the train and carousel. But this again goes with my point of non-family rides where they charge this extra fee.

My apologies but I never received another email from you to reply to. The Six Flags email system often automatically moves emails that are not recognized into our junk file, that could have been what happened to yours. I do my best to answer all guest correspondence, or at least forward it to the appropriate team member to do so. I never would intentionally ignore yours.

I am sorry you are dissatisfied with our park policy on loose articles on ride platforms. Bringing loose articles on those platforms presents a safety risk of those articles making their way on rides, makes them much likely to be stolen (especially on rides with multiple trains), and in general slows down the line speed. We made the decision to use the ride locker program a few years ago to solve these issues and in general it has been successful for us. That being said, we are looking at improving our system constantly. I am very familiar with the St. Louis approach, it is one of many experiments we are trying or have tired across our system. If this test proves to be something that works there, we will be discussing trying it at other parks in our system as well.

Again, I am sorry you are not happy with our current policy, but until we find another that can work as well for our guests, we will be continuing with it. I hope to see you at Six Flags Great America again soon.
