When they say one million riders it refers to One Million Riders that Season. Pretty much every year 5-7 Rides will get one million riders in one season.

This past season Six Flags Great America had 6 Coasters reach One Million Plus riders in one season.
Raging Bull
Batman
American Eagle
Viper
Superman
Demon

So to clarify Demon most likely has gotten a million or more every season for the past 30+ years. The main reason the park makes a big deal out of it is because it shows their commitment to being fast and keeping the lines moving!

You cannot justify that statement. You have no proof that the first week of August the lines move a lot slower. The lines are a lot longer the first week in August because that is the last week of Read to Succeed. The lines are just as long then as they are during the Fright Fest. That doesn't mean they are moving slower. You have to look at the ride's capacity for that day compared to the capacity from other days or their average capacity. That is information you do not have.

I think that was just a joke. Take it easy.

Ah, my statement was just saying how you can never get on anything the first week of august. Must have misread the post, whoops! No hard feelings!

My sister always gives them a few more riders by spinning the turn styles many times.

It's really annoying.

Looks like Raging Bull passed its 1,000,000th rider, but alas Batman and American Eagle have not yet gotten to its 1,000,000th rider...yet. I wonder if the one millionth rider gets a prize or something special? I doubt it.

I saw the 08 and 09 Viper ones randomly. The person ended up with a bunch of giant prizes from the games, a certificate, a meet and greet with Bugs Bunny in a patriotic outfit and other stuff. Nothing huge, but still made for a nice show.

well first week of august the lines were beyond horrid. went again this past Wednesday and it was great. Yes that reading thing had an issue the first week of august but I noticed very very slow crews that week also compared to other times.

A few examples. On Wednesday Demon was only running the yellow and black trains (the poor red err gum train was parked) but the crew Wednesday was getting the train out of the station while the other train was either in the corkscrew or coming out of it into the brake run. yet the first week of august (i went twice that week) demon was running all 3 trains both days and when i went on it or waled past it I made notice that most of the time trains were not leaving the station until all 3 trains were not moving. They were so slow it was pathetic. I even made mention why bother with the third train if you can't get the 2nd out of the station before the first returns anyway. got silly look from the big fat chunk from goonies looking idiot. Side note was that those 2 days the Demon crew was 4 people. this past Wednesday it was 3 people and they worked faster.

I noticed the same thing pretty much on Eagle, Viper, and Whizzer. Even Raging Bull which every-time I ride it normally train leaves with 20-30 seconds left on that countdown clock was regally that week going past 0 and counting up. Once on it I came into final brakes and the maintenance area and train was in front still unloading. we sat there and the next train pulled up behind us before the train in front finally got going and the countdown clock was counting up and was around 80. that is SLOW.

For Demon, it's simple why they have that problem with 3 trains. It's the Flash Pass ride employee that acts like a babysitter. They first let the regular people on. Oh, here are the flash pass people, and let's tend to them for sometime, and it definitely slows down capacity not to mention when there are no flash pass people, people tend to not go in those empty rows. Just for Demon, I absolutely hate what they did with the flash pass. Let the flash pass people empty into the regular line like all the other rides that have flash pass do, but no. For Demon, there are 2 lines already that could be set up for that. You use the right line for the Flash Pass line, and have the regular people in the left line. They could adjust those other lines a little bit to accomodate it.

For 3 trains, on Demon you can just dream about them loading them efficiently because the flash pass people nagging ride employees, forget it.

LOL

I don't mean to be mean but I was the 2,000th person to enter the park one day and they got the place to clap for me. I'm like....can I go ride Raging Bull now?

LOL it's just luck you really didn't do anything special besides come to the park. Maybe that's special enough for Six Flags :)
