^Earlier this year it was running the Fright Fest cycle. Would be nice to see them keep that year round.

I have a question. For the people in the front that are in the booths, and the people that are the ticket takers / season pass scanners, are those people later in the day cleaners / taking out garbage around the park because they dwindle down during the day. At the beginning of the day, you need all those people because of the crowds that come in the park, but than where do a lot of those people go? Do they work for 4 hours and leave? It just doesn't make sense to me if they just work for that long. Sure, later in the day there are maybe 4 ticket takers and security up front, but where do all the rest go??

^I never see that many workers later on as I do in the morning though. The same can be said for parking people. Sure, there is a busy time where every booth is full for parking, but what do they do later on? This has to be before 7 pm or 8 pm.

I have a question: What is that disgusting white paint that is on S:UF's supports on the way up? I know it used to be a gum filled mess, but now they painted over it with white? What is that?!

Primer. It will help paint stick to the surface it's applied to. Kind of like the grey "paint" at eagle last year.

My best guess would be that they had to use an electric wire brush to get all the gum off, which took the paint off too. Then they sprayed primer on it to help prevent rust. I don't know why they wouldn't paint it the color, unless they just figured "why bother" because they will have to do it again. The only other way I can think of taking the gum off would be by sandblasting, which would also take the paint off. I can't imagine it being a real fun job to do. I'm sure there is plenty on the ground for the lawn mower guy with all of the misses.

Wouldn't a regular paint scraper that you use on fences and such be able to get it off? But I guess they figured that S:UF would be getting a paint coat soon enough...

^It's possible. We only have until April 2011 to find out.

Probably. However, a paint scraper still scrapes paint, which leads to the primer. I don't know what months of sunlight do it too. Some guy could possibly lose an arm doing it that way too!

I can't say I have any experience scraping gum off of metal. When I get it on my shoe, I have used a wire brush to get it out in the past.

People used to load up the Batman graffiti wall in the que area with gum, when you could touch it. A fence was put up a few years later to help prevent this from happening.

Also, and this is going to sound sickening but its the truth, Bird Droppings and Human Saliva have acids in them that can over time eat paint. You can see the "damage" that is done whenever you are on the brake run next to the train storage shed to see what I am talking about.

(Just for future references, this topic is about Great America questions and such.

You need to upload the image (Within the Signature guidelines of course.) to somewhere like tinypic.com and then use the () tags.

David's not a moderator. don't let him make you think he is..
You really find how dumb the general public is about theme parks when you read the park's facebook page. Then again, we're all just nerds/

now don't start attacking people. david thinks very highly of himself, you'll learn to adjust to that.

Sooo what kind of news do you think SFGAm will announce by the end of August? Hopefully something big, and its not going to be a waterpark add on i believe.

The park confirmed that it will not be anything water related. So, hopefully, something maybe like a Eurofighter, or even a Screamin' Swing. But I'm dreaming.

Well anything is possible, i have rode a different variation of Screamin' Swing at Wisconsin Dells, and i will have to admit. It was really a fun ride, and i would very much enjoy a Screamin' Swing at SFGAm
