^I think we went on different carousels at BGT as the one there I rode last month was awful.
On Iron Wolf paint, it won't do too much. SF tried the same thing with un-popular coasters at AstroWorld and it didn't do too much. While easy on the eyes and something each park should do, don't look for massive lines due to a fresh coat of paint.
^Weren't you riding the camel in the video that wasn't going up and down, and you said it hurt like anything? Well, that's why it's awful.

I'm sure this has been mentioned in this topic already but I think if the harnesses where like they used to be soft and shorter it would be a little more comfortable and then a least then when your head bangs around it wouldn't hurt as much.
I never got why they have these rock hard, huge shoulder harnesses, on some people the fins are taller then their heads, it's ridiculous.
"Park staff later claimed that they were offered a hundred bucks a pop to try to the slide, but refused after seeing that test dummies often emerged on the other end dismembered. The looping slide was actually closed down for most of the park’s life due to these injury concerns."
Those are B&M restraints, nothing out of the ordinary. Those are on every B&M Standup. Batman's restraints are substntialy harder than Iron Wolf's. Is it just me, or is Wolf a bit less rough?
no, Iron Wolf is much rougher....Plus, those restraints on wolf are Intamin, not B&M. Batman's restraints are a little tough to say the least, but it doesn't jerk you around as much, so you hardly even notice.

I talked to one of the ride maintenance people and they told me the best way to ride Iron Wolf comfortably. Ok, so make sure to get on train #1. The trains are numbered but not sure where the number is on the train. Next, make sure to keep your legs straight and unbent. I know we want to make our legs bent so we can have room to bend them but that is real important in keeping the legs straight. Also, make sure the back of your shoes are touching the back of the cart, making sure your feet go back as much as possible till they hit the back of the train. Finally, stick your head as far out in front as possible. So basically your whole entire self is a diagonal if you are on the ride. Hope this helps everyone!
One employee told me to go in the middle, I told all my friends to follow me to row 5. I was wrong and ended up giving myself a massive headace, but my friend said he liked it so I was sort of happy

That doesn't work too well for me. I always leave my legs bent so I can jam my shoulders to the top of the restraint to hold my body in place. This gets more of my head over the restraint and then I hold my head forward. I asked the ride ops near the end of the season pass holder appreciation night last Sept, if they had dispatched any trains the whole night, and they told me no. Pretty sad for a B&M.

That is exactly how I ride it everytime. Basically my shoulders are at the top of the restraints like i'm locked in between my feet and my shoulders. When the corkscrew comes up, my head does not bang against the restraints.
Although, last Saturday I was there and IW had a posted 60 min. wait time. The line was past the station in the front well into the covered area. It has been a while since I saw that.
^That must have been a really bad day for all the rides than.

Iron Wolf is no where near as deserted as Shock wave once was. Like I said earlier, give the ride at least 5 more years. When Walter gave a speech at a coaster enthusiast event, he mentioned how much he still appreciates Great America for giving them their first start back out again with Coasters. I think without Six Flags, B&M would not be the B&M we know it as today.
B&M really had no intention of re-entering the amusement industry.
Why not just turn this ride into a floorless get a new floorless train scrap the standup train remodify the station and just repaint and retheme the sucker that will save them money and call it Iron wolfs revenge :>)

Or just tear it down.

I disagre with that statement. I think it would have trouble converting into a floorless roller coaster. Iron wolf is too old to be an interesting floorless roller coaster I think that a bizzaro theming would be the only thing i would suggest if the ride was floorless.
Let me say this. Iron Wolf, is, was, and will always be a stand-up coaster. You cant just smack some new trains on a ride and run them! If Iron Wolf were ever to become a floorless, it would either need some major track work, or completley new trains. Which would cost some big money, which wouldnt even be worth it for a dieing coaster.
