I hear parts have slowly been disappeaing. Either going to be re-painted and repaired for future placement, or being sent away since steel prices have skyrocketed.
So anyone hit the park today? Was going to yesterday but my newphew had his 4th birthday party and knowing it was a Saturday in July scared me. Even so, no more flash passes for me. Not worth for one day. One day.

To me it seems like a very creative idea, although I have heard no pipeline roller coasters are good. Anyway, I know it is in storage and that it was damaged, so is it just going to be scrapper or put up somewhere?
Was scrapped earlier this year due to condition and rising steel prices.

Same as other wooden coasters...Powered using pressure. They're just older and larger.....also louder because they "clamp" very quickly. Just compare them to Viper one day. And before you ask, NO, American Eagle cannot be converted to newer trains like Viper. The Buzz-bar system is here to stay, PUSH DOWN PULL UP WHEN YOU HEAR THE BUZZZZZZZ!

They can do anything. It just takes money to replace stuff, and they aren't going to spend money if they don't have to.

The trims work the same as any other brake. They use "proximity switches", which relay the train's position to the ride's computer system, and are commanded to activate in order to slow the trains to a specific speed. It is never exactly the same, day-to-day, though. In the morning, maintinance runs the ride un-trimmed to speed things up. After maintinance leaves and sets the ride to "automatic mode", I believe the system allows 4 more trains to run un-trimmed before they activate. The rides lead is lucky to fly through the barrel.

The blue side is usually slowed down more. As for red side in the morning, that is just too much fun.

Does anyone know what is going on with the old carousel (that used to be in the back of the park, where Revolution currently sits)?
I know I had read something here, a couple of years ago, that they were going to bring it back - but it was a classic carousel, with a lot of history, and I'm just curious if it's still at the park and if anyone has heard of what the gameplan is?
I'm still bummed that the Georgia park got the old Riverview carousel -- would have been cool to have it AND The Little Dipper in Gurnee.
Ameri-Go-Round, the park's classic Merri-Go-Round is currently in sealed storage containers near S:UF. I think the park was looking to sell it, but was overpricing it. It does have value, but it's not enough to give it a big price tag.
As of right now, the park doesn't seem to have any plans, as Columbia Carousel doesn't even get a line, so there's no point in having a classic carousel.
^Magiquest took over the Wii area which moved to Southwest Territory. They did, however, take out some of the stand-alone game stands outside of the building.

I believe most, if not all B&M coasters have a spot like that. Even if their not going to buy three trains, there is always a possibility that some day they might want three trains, so I think that area is there for if they ever want to run three trains, they can instal a MCBR.
