American Eagle Red, is the best coaster nobody has ever ridden.
Think of some of the top wooden coasters out there. I believe that when its running its best, Eagle Red is in the discussion for being in that top wooden coaster category.
For me its Raging Bull. I rode it once and thought it was so boring. After the first drop its isn't fun, when I told my other friends they were like " Oh you should ride it in the front" but the fact is it should not matter where your ride something it should be fun no matter what.
---Overrated Coaster at our park: I would definitely say Raging Bull. For me, the ride is on it's side too much, and to me it doesn't give enough airtime. I have ridden better, and I think that's just it to me. --I'll say most underrated at our park too: I would say Superman because it just gets a lot of trash talk from coaster enthusiasts being boring and whatnot, but you are flying through the air, and it has inversions with one of them being a top inversion in my opinion.
---Overrated coaster anywhere: For me, it's Maverick and Millenium Force. Maverick, to me it's just a neck chopping ride, and it's just too weird of a ride, and Millenium Force just reminds of Raging Bull with not a whole lot of airtime for that type of ride. ---Underrated coaster anywhere: Deja Vu of course would be my number 1 most underrated ride anywhere. The ride is just incredible for a roller coaster with the feelings, and than in my opinion the best inversions of cobra roll, and big gigantic loop. Secondly, I would say Top Thrill Dragster. That ride is just amazingly fun and fast, and just because it's a short ride doesn't mean to me it's incredible ride. I guess in a way I can say that most shuttle coasters are underrated, and I just think it has to do with a lot of enthusiasts treating them as being non real roller coasters, and thus they are going to put them way in back of the other rides.

I used to say that Millennium Force was very overrated, but the more I rode the thing this summer the more I ended up liking it. So now I don't really say overrated or underrated, just a solid coaster.
In my opinion, I think everyone here overrates Raging Bull. The first drop is wonderful in the back row, but after that the ride doesn't do a heck of a lot for me. When Eagle is flying it's a solid coaster for sure.
The Boss is awesome. I think with Millennium Flyers that thing would be even better (a little padding).
The Prowler just wasn't good in my opinion. The fact it was rated #6 in the world last year really surprised me. After the first couple of hills the thing lost all of its speed and forces. Overrated.
I also think Morgan Hypers in general are overrated. I obviously haven't ridden them all, but the ones I have were all bores.
And the Italian Job Stunt Coasters. Those things were boring too.
This topic is bringing up all of those coaster experiences I was disappointed in. I'm leaving now.
You know what rocks though? Magnum. Yeah, I'm one of those people. Just deal.
Top 5 wood-5-Goliath 4-Ravine Flyer II 3-Phoenix 2-Voyage 1-El Toro Top 5 Steel- 5-Velocicoaster 4- Maverick 3- Fury 325 2-Steel Vengeance 1-X2 Coaster Count: 444
I dont think Raging Bull is over rated at all, In fact I will say this much, I prefer Raging Bull's first drop to that of Millennium Force's any day of the week. (Twice on Sunday)
As for Stunt Coaster, wow I thought it was a great ride. What didnt you like about it Nick?
Hey, I enjoyed Stunt Coaster, and I enjoy most of what Premier makes. I think Premier in general is a very underrated roller coaster company. And the one Morgan Hyper I been on at Dorney park, I felt was a bore. At Cedar Point, I feel the most underrated ride besides Chaos is Gemini. Gemini gets no love from anyone anymore! Top Thrill Dragster I feel is underrated to the enthusiasts, but the GP like it in my opinion.

I can honestly say that no coaster is over-rated at our park because they all have their unique elements and deserve to be at the park. I would say Wolf is under-rated... but, that has it's own reasons for unpopularity amongst the GP.
I don't really feel as any of the coasters in the park are really over-rated. I enjoy something about each one of them. On paper I'd say SUF, but when I'm on it I beg to differ.
I do agree with Galvan that American Eagle Red is the most under-rated coaster in the park if not the entire Midwest.
I agree that Eagle Red is great but I think that Eagle Blue is over looked as well. Its a solid woodie overshadowed by its other half. I also think that Demon doesn't get a lot of love.
-Remember there's nothing but air beneath the chair.
I think the most overrated coaster in the world is Raven. I don't get all the hype, especially when there are 2 far superior wooden coasters in that park. I dont think it even makes my top 10 wood list, Viper at SFGAm is a better ride in my opinion. Montu is another one I never thought was a great ride, its just too slow. As far as SFGAm goes Raging Bull and V2. I can see why people in the area love Bull because of its size however once you ride it without the trims it pretty much sucks every ride after that, and impulses are just redundant to me (although Wicked Twister in the back row is very fun).
As far as underrated go the Togo Standup coaster at Canada's Wonderland is a legitimate awesome roller coaster with lots of airtime. Evel Knievel is nothing short of an amazing wooden coaster you don't hear about as well as Cornball Express, Cyclops, and Avalanche. If you are sitting in the back on Xcelerator you get ripped out of your seat going over the tophat, something you don't really get on the other Intamin accelerator coasters. Big Dipper at Geauga Lake was a very solid airtime filled coaster. Also have to give a shoutout to the Hippogriff roller-skater at IOA, which is actually a pretty intense little coaster for something of that size.

It scares me to argue with you, but I still don't get how that can be... do you just prefer a shorter drop? or is it the seating arrangement? MF just has a steeper and longer drop. Thing greys me out at the bottom sometimes.
I think that both V2 and, to a lesser extent, Raging Bull are both overrated. V2 looks much scarier than it is- the Tidal Waves dead end track in the front seat was scarier than the twisted V2 track in the front, and now, with one of the best parts of the ride- the holding brake on the back tower non-functioning, it's a so-so ride to me. If the line is very short, I'll wait, if not, it's not worth it to me. I think DejaVu was much better than V2.
I like Raging Bull, but after the first amazing drop, I think it fizzles out a little bit. It seems to go very slow in parts, and doesn't give much airtime. It's still fun and a must ride, but I don't agree with those who say it's the absolute best ride in the park.
In my opinion, the Eagle is still the best coaster there- it has that still amazing first drop, great airtime bunny hills, that intense helix, which winds you up like a slingshot and whips you out of your seat on that airtime hill. I also think that Viper is highly underrated, and one of the best wooden coasters around- classic layout, great airtime hills and headchoppers, and pretty smooth for a woodie! I also think that Whizzer is underrated- riding that thing at night through all the trees is a blast!

MF is a good ride, if you like speed (which i do) but I love Raging Bull's airtime in the back row especially on the first drop. Afraid to agree with me? lol thats the first time anyone's ever said that too me.
Edit: I apparently dont know how to read, Argue and agree are two different words lol

While MF is a fun ride there is nothing really impressive about it in my opinion. Look at a ride like Bizarro at SFNE for example, which is much more intense, more airtime, better layout, and is 100 feet shorter in height.
As much as I don't think any coaster at a Disney park is underrated, there seems to be no love for Space Mountain at Disneyland Park in the enthusiast community. Maybe it is overshadowed by other rides in that area like X2 and Xcelerator, but that ride is freakin' awesome.
