time is still running out for Wolf. Shockwave broke records too but when people stopped riding it and they needed room they go rid of it. Wolf, Demon, Whizzer are in jeopardy and will be the first big rides to go when they need budget cuts/extra room for expansion.

Whizzer seems like it'll go soon, Im sure it will be impossible to find some parts in a few years.

Finding parts is not so much an issue as you can always custom make them. It's more of if the ride is still worth it to the park.
It cannot last forever though... You can do surgey on a person, but eventually they will die. I LOVE whizzer, I just feel like at most it has 10-15 years left.
30 years for a steel coaster is astounding! Including Demon! I mean, no one could expect a coaster like whizzer to have lasted SO long. Kudos to the park for keeping up maintenance. And like you said, no one lives forever. But, the park is taking a very good approach to whizzer.

I know that, they did a fantastic job on maintaining it! I hope to see the whizzer last for many year.
Whizzer is still beloved in this park. The uproar the park got when they first wanted to put S:UF in that spot was massive. I think they'll certainly work harder to keep Whizzer going than IW or Demon.
Intamin, Gerstlauer and W. Schwarzkopf all produce parts for older Schwarzkopf attractions including Whizzer. Despite the name and being Antons son, Gerstlauer the most direct descendant of Schwarzkopf even moreso than Wieland Schwarzkopf, in fact using the same factory that Schwarzkopf was in, and Hubert Gerstlauer was the senior plant manager for Schwarzkopf, so parts aren't all that hard to come by.
Favorite Wood Coasters: The Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, Thunderhead, Balder Favorite Steel: Voltron Nevera, Steel Vengeance, Expedition GeForce, Olympia Looping Parks visited: 232, Coasters Ridden: Steel: 894, Wood: 179, Total: 1073
Some day the whizzer WILL be removed, and no matter what uproar the GP causes it will not matter. It will never be here forever. I love the whizzer but you have to realize that you can't have it forever and ever.

This is perhaps the dumbest thing I have ever read. If you have a popular ride and its running well why would you ever fake an accident to remove it? I understand from reading your posts that you like tossing scenarios around, but this is ridiculous.

David please tell me you were joking here? Six Flag's would not do something this stupid on their worse day. If they want to get rid of a coaster they will just do it. I don't post hear very much, but I know you like to flame to get a reaction, but on occasion you have some good posts. This type of post just makes people want you to leave and totally hurts your credibility.

I will sure miss Whizzer when it is gone, but they could soften the blow by putting in anther similar family coaster when they do it. I hope they update IW if they keep it, but part of me wants to see IW go for something new. Either way IW or Whizzer will probably get the axe next.
^Soften the blow of Whizzer leaving - Like Little Dipper, Ragin Cajun, and Dark Knight. "Family" coasters.

My kid was scared of Ragin’ Cajun and TDK. The Little Dipper is much smaller. While they are family coasters, they are not exactly like the Whizzer. You know what I mean and I am not sure why you have to be sarcastic and have to imply that I am too dumb to know that there are other family coasters there. I stand by my opinion. This is why I don’t post here very often.
