How would you rank the days in order of crowdedness?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I have never seen people's concrete ideas in terms of the crowdedness of the park come June and July. Yes, yes I know I can read trip reports...but they are too few and far between without mention of crowds sometimes.

Several CP websites have crowd expectations and pretty good guides about crowds, and I am curious about what YOU guys, the ones who go often and sometimes mutiple times a week think about this.

Ranked 1-7 .. without regard to weather/groups... what do you think are the lightest to busiest days.

I know it varies, but I just want to see if there is a general consensus on a typically light day, because I went to the park yesterday (Thurs) and it was by far one of the most crowded days I have seen. It took me at least 40 minutes to get to the parking gate, they rented out the back lot to Jeep, so EVERYBODY parked in the front... and all rides were at least an hour long.

Thanks!

I was there yesterday and that was not to bad, at least by my standards.

Opening Day - 1
May Weekdays - 7
Memorial Day - 9
Labor Day - 9
Father's Day - 5
July 4th - 9
Weekdays in Summer - 4
Mother's Day - 5
Mondays - 3

That's with my experience.

Considering the 3rd and 4th of July last year has the sign asking people not to come in and extended hour that day, it wins for most crowded.

I meant more along the lines of days of the week ... like from least crowded to most crowded

1. Monday
2. Wednesday
3. Thurs
4. Sun
5. Tues
6. Fri
7. Saturday

And I have been to much less crowded Saturdays in July than it was yesterday...

I think I will be doing the Platinum Flash Pass for July 3rd... should be the best day to play around with that!

OK. This question goes out to the old farts (just kidding lol :) ). How crowded does it get during Labor day weekend. Im planning on going September 4th or 5th. Maaaaybe the 6th, depending if I have to work that weekend at all. I haven't been to SFGAM since early to mid June and wanna get my dose of SFGAM asap! Since the park is open certain days now, I am planning to go basically Labor day weekend. I think I may be asking for a death wish here since Im probably going that weekend, but I wanna know how bad gets, for all of you Labor day regulars. The more answers the better picture I'll get of how bad it'll be. :o  :?

^The last 2 years the Saturday and Monday were Avg crowds and Sunday was quite crowded. If going, just try to avoid Sunday.

Ok MOST CROWDED: JULY 4, LABOR DAY, FRIGHT FEST, Fridays, Saturdays, ANY DAY WHERE THERE IS A FREE CONCERT, the occasional Sunday as per above. But then It tapers off Mondays are pretty tame, Tuesdays arent bad either wednesdays are good thursdays are iffy they can go either way, Also when its cold out unless fright fest the park is usually quiet.

Fridays FTW!

The last time I went on a Friday, it was soooo crowded. Iron Wolf wait was 45 minutes, Raging Bull was almost 2 hour wait, AE wait was over an hour. You can tell how crowded it was just by the wait times. Oh and today is the last day of the regular season. Only open first 2 weekends in Sept and every Fri-Sun in October. Its counting down... :x

A 45 minute wait for Iron Wolf...... OH. MY. GOD. Yeah i understand raging bull having such a long wait line, but i would never consider waiting 45 minutes, just for Iron Wolf.

HAHA LMAO! yeah I only ride Iron Wolf if all the other rides have long waits. You know, just to kill time and get some adrenaline out of my system. They should change the name to Iron Headache because thats what I get if I ride Iron wolf. yuck! I will def not miss it when they get rid of it. Lets hope its not crowded this weekend!

Waiting 45 minutes for any ride is insane enough, but Iron Wolf? People flock to any low wait times like a moth to light.

I will never go on iron wolf again after what happened to me a few years back... I was in the second last row, and the noob infront of me had scabs all over his arm (nasty). So ofcourse, one of his scabs come off, and the blood from the scab goes all on my shirt, and a little on my face.... Yeah..... ewww. So also my friends rub in the insult by now calling the iron wolf, the iron scab...

To clarify the mentioning of Fright Fest weekends being crowded just so as so no one might get confused. Friday nights during Fright Fest are often not very crowded, and if it is a particularly cold night are sometimes down right dead.

I can pretty much tell how crowded it's going to be within the end of the first hour. You pick a roller coaster, and you determine how bad it's going to be based on that roller coaster line.
