I doubt they gave up the idea. SFGAm is the only big SF park without a waterpark so I am sure its an idea that will stay fresh in the executive's minds.
I am sure its a money issue. That is a big expense to build a waterpark from ground up. Trying to convince your lenders that the ROI will be accomplished from a waterpark would also be a hard sell especially when SF is deep in debt as it is.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
Doing what? Including the waterpark with general admission?
If thats what you meant, then yes, I do see Six Flags doing that. They already have other SF properties with waterparks that are included with admission.

I thought that we were supose to be talking about where shockwave will turn up.
Right now, Shockwave will have a better chance of being put up, instead of a water park. Since Six Flags corp. is in debt all really big projects will be put on hold.
Shockwave won't be re-installed at SFGAm and most people realize this. A waterpark is something that this park is in dire need of getting. Yes, financial troubles prevent this from happening but if and when a major addition is added, this is the most reasonable thing to do.
Even if you aren't into waterparks, you should still want this to happen. This gives people another thing to enjoy while lowering the lines for the amusement rides.

It is now a fact. Shockwave will be moved to Six Flags New England. It was rumored to have a Superman theme, but the park did not want to waste the theme, so they will be doing a sort of Batman Villian theme. So let's end this conversation now. It is going to Six Flags New England. Bye, Bye Shockwave. They aren't going to put it back up in our park it's leaving!
Shockwave's going to England. Is it half their already or has it not even moved from the grass hill. I really wish it would stay in the U.S. Buy the way, is the Viper at Magic mountain and Great American Scream Machine really rough like Shockwave, because they are around the same age and almost the same exact thing? Just wondering.
GASM is at SFGAdv and it is a great ride. There is hardly ever a line, usually three trains, very smooth and screams "reride". I was never given the chance to ride SW, but I don't see why it couldn't be just as good as it's brother. GASM is an awesome ride.

I don't want to sound like a jerk at all... but how much do you really know about SFNE? Waste the theme? How could they be wasting the theme when they have a whole superhero section counting for almost all the Batman superhereos and the park has S:RoS - The Superman Ride of Steel? I don't believe there would be any room to toss it in there - but hey you never know.
LMAO, I dont believe whoever the hell started this rumor of it going to NEW England, I won't believe anything until I see it out of the parking lot and hear of the conformation.
I have officaily given up on Shockwave. As much as I loved it I could not care less what happens to it melting it, sending to another park, puting it up in the park I dont care lol.
