^Since when did looping coasters, 200 foot drop towers and wooden coaster with a 147 foot drop become family attractions? Because when I last checked, those were thrill rides. Just because it's height requirement is lower, does not make it a family ride.
And yes, I based all those attractions on the height requirement. Since when can't a few thrill rides count as family attractions? If the whole family can ride, it's a family ride.
Buccaneer Battle is considered a family attraction, but a few people on these boards say it is strictly a kiddie attraction.
It goes both ways buddy. Accept it.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
I always considered Demon a starter up coaster right after Whizzer, so I don't see the problem their. For Giant Drop, I would never consider that a family ride, but the other stuff, absolutely.

Then you might want to info Six Flags about those rides not being thrill rides.

This may come as a shocker to most of you but here it comes.... ITS OK TO CRITICIZE THE PARK. It is so annoying to read through page after page of thread after thread where all anyone does is defend the parks every move and if one person says one bad thing about it, they get shot down and attacked. Now what I'm about to do may put some of you in a coma so be careful but here it comes..
The KK ads on Whizzer look like CRAP and are plain STUPID Half the food SUCKS and is way OVERPRICED Not every coaster is OMFG the best coaster EVER! Raging Bulls trim ruins the end!
A site based around a park needs to focus on the GOOD and BAD. Fanboys make coaster enthusiasts look bad! Look I love Great America but I'm not afraid to say that IT HAS PROBLEMS. Everytime I read this site I want to smash my computer with a hammer because of you STUPID FANBOYS. I've made two posts on here and I already want to quit. The site was good but you annoying little Six Flags dorks and ruining it!
I am in no way trying to put down the site just the fanboys on it.

Do you have some kind of an issue you need to resolve with the park or something? Perhaps an ego issue that needs to be checked?
We criticize the park as much as we praise it around here, probably more so. But I mean of course you already knew that, or maybe you didn"t since you hate the site so much.
How about you do us a favor, its pretty easy actually.
If you hate this site so much, why dont you deactivate your account and clear out all the history and cookies from your computer so you'll never have a memory from this site ever again. That way you and your ridiculous opinions can be kept where they ought to be, to yourself.
Look, I disagree with people on this board all the time, and Im sure most people here disagree with me just the same. Thats fine by me, but Dave, Kyle and all the mods put a lot of work into making this site what it is. We take pride in this site and whatever little idiosyncrasies it may or may not have.
And if this is your last visit to SFGAMWorld.com.... Dont let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

For the Karate Kid ads on Whizzer, to me having gone on it, the trains don't bother me that much, but if I was waiting in that line, it wouldn't be that great because the banners are over the place. For food, I haven't had a lot of their food because yes food is cheaper outside, but at the same time I want to get away. I don't feel like just staying at an amusement park all day, and all night. I want to "escape" the park even at Walt Disney World, or Land. At the same time though, I only leave the park once a day. I don't leave for lunch, and supper. I have had the Cheddar Beef, and it just didn't taste that good.
The Funnel Cakes seemed really great when I first been getting them awhile ago, but more recently, it just doesn't seem as great as it used to before. I don't know really why. I have tried the pizza, and to me (Papa John's, and the other pizza at the time), and to me it didn't taste wonderful at all. Maybe, it's because my favorite pizzas are actually stuffed. I have tried the Chicken Place in Hometown Square, and it's chicken legs. I like Boston Market's Rotissiere Chicken better if I getting Chicken like that. So, no I don't really like the food, and it is overpriced, but that's what you have to deal with being it's an amusement park.
I agree that not every coaster at the park is the greatest, but their are some that I think are awesome. For Raging Bull, I used to like the ride when I was younger, but the ride to me yes has the trims, but it's just I don't care for how that ride is made considering the hills. It's more of track on it's side rather than a up and down type of ride, and that's my opinion whereas a ride like Superman which every enthusiast hates I like it because of Superman type of feeling, and the two inversions it does have.
The reason for complaining as in this topic is because people want to express thier frustrations with the park for certain things the park does. If I were into buying stocks, I wouldn't buy Six Flags stock. Seriously, the per-cap per person is like $43 or something but admission is $55, and you have to remember that is including food, parking, games, flash pass, up-charge attractions, and any merchandise.
The reason why people care so much is because you have a passion for it, and when certain things bug you about something you deeply care for, you want to tell people about it, and maybe just maybe a change will happen. Any company can do anything they want because they are the boss of the company. It's almost like I couldn't resist not going to Six Flags even if they did the most drastic thing bad to the park (It hasn't gotten to that point, and hopefully it never will). because really where is the next amusement park in this area? It's Six Flags for bigger roller coasters. The next amusement park is Indiana Beach, and they barely have any steel coasters, and definitely no B&Ms. After that, it's Six Flags again with Six Flags St. Louis.
I guess the same thing happens with sports. You might hate or think certain players on the team aren't any good, but it's your team, and you stick with your team through the thick and thin.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
^Exactly. Dude, how do we, as you say, not hold six flags accountable for faults within our park? THERE's A THREAD ABOUT COMPLAINING! A whole thread, just dedicated to *****ing about any and everything we can critique the park on! Nobody says this park is perfect.

Have a take and don't suck, it's the Jim Rome Show!
hahaha Galvan316 is an awesome dude. metal salute to ya brother! \m/ Excellent job on pickin on DeathbyDinn. What an emo name btw. Im sure we all complain about things I mean or else why would there be this site to begin with? lol Plus how the hell does he know the fanboys? seems like hes acting like he himself doesnt go on this site often, or else how could he come up with this whole "fanboy" concept? Im glad a site like this exists. We dont need people like that anyway here. Keep up the excellent work Galvan316 and the rest of the people who help run this site. Thumbs up to all and *applauds.*
I don't care about criticizing the park, but it seems we have certain individuals here that all they do is complain and moan. That's where it gets tiresome.
Especially the ones that bad mouth the park on a regular basis, but keep on going back.
The park does have its faults, but so do most parks. I just choose to not look for them unless they are completely slapping me in the face. If that happens, I head over to Guest Relations instead coming on a message board and complaining about the same thing over and over.
Sponsors and banners personally won't ruin my day. If it helps keep the doors open, I am all for it.
Overpriced crappy food (which most of it is) I just avoid and go outside unless its like Panda.
I have never heard someone say that every coaster in the park is OMFG the best ever. So that is completely baseless.
And since the subject came up about Busch Gardens Tampa? It is now my new homepark and I enjoy it very much, but if you are just into rides, the place can get boring pretty quick. Luckily I love zoos , so this park is just fine with me.
SFGAm has had its up and downs in its existence. I was visiting the park during the Marriott days so I know how the quality was better during that time, but alot of you are spoiled now because during the Marriott years, you had 4 big boy coasters before they sold the place, about the same amount of flats, and no waterpark.
SF and CF just aren't into serious theming although SF at least makes an attempt.
Ok, I am done.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
Charlie Dinn, famous coaster designer, most of his rides feature the "dinn shuffle" aka they track poorly. Notable rides he worked on were, The Beast, Texas Giant, Mean Streak, Hercules, Thunder Run, Timberworld amongst others. His daughter Denise Dinn-Larrick founded then ended up destroying CCI before going on to work for S&S for a short time.
