Did the park close early 2 day when it started to rain? Was anyone there? How were the crowds?

No, but it was completely dead. Less than 200 people there I think.

What suspension bridge was in the area before Ragin Cajun in 2004?

It was a fairly decent sized true suspension bridge which served as one (non handicap accessible) exit option for roaring rapids and it also served the picnic grove. Also in the spot occupied by RC was the structure for one of the original 1976 rides, which was a kiddie bumper car arena, however ever since I started going to the park it had already been converted into a small games area.

opening day was amazing. I got 4 rides in 40 minutes. I have an idea. Why dont they have a ferris wheel or always have a haunted house all year, aside from frightfest. Im sure if they had a haunted house, it would always be crowded. yeah after u went in it a couple of times, im sure everyone would be like, "i already know whats in there. i know everything in the house." It like a roller coaster though, you know what it feels like if youve been on it already, but u still ride it anyway as much as you want.

I think TT2 should be all year. But of course, relocate it.

When did the park start selling the new ride specific shirts? They were not there opening weekend and today I saw ones for American Eagle, Batman: The Ride, 3 Raging Bull ones and Demon (got the last XL they had out.) Decent prices and I liked some of the designs too. This is a big step forward for the parks merchandise.

Does anyone know which ride was added first, Demon, or Whizzer? Thanks.

(And I know, not Demon, "TotC)'

^And the ironic thing is those 2 coasters will no longer be the oldest in the park.

I should have been more clear. This is for you oldies (and I mean that in the best way possible), which was constructed first?

But they have always been at the park since 76', where the LD is new to the park and in process of complete overhaul.

They were constructed at the same time when the whole park was being built.

OK, If you want to get technical, then yes, but the LD will still be referred to as operating since 1950.

I'll take that bet and go with Whizzer being gone first.

I think a better question would be who hasn't tried to touch the ground on Whizzer! It's always fun to try and grab some grass or a leaf, that is until you hit a rock instead and your hand starts bleeding.

Are you saying Whizzer and Demon are leaving together?!

Bizzaro Badger wrote:I think TT2 should be all year. But of course, relocate it.
I DEFINITELY agree with you on this one. Halloween is my fav holiday and always having that would be spectacular. Im sure it would always have a long line if it were TT2 instead of Chubasco. Chubasco barely has a line as it is.

onyxhotel08 wrote:better question: Will Whizzer or Demon bite the dust sooner? My $$ is on Demon.

Im pretty sure ur right. The line for Demon is always short. While the line for Whizzer is somewhat of a wait. I believe I waited like 5 minutes for Demon and about 10-15 minutes for Whizzer, and this was opening day. Although DEMON does help for Frightfest. I mean having a ride solely named demon comes in handy to help with frightfest and its theming. So idk, we'll see if any of them leave at all.

I REALLY wanna try but am afraid to get kicked out lol. Its hard to touch a branch or anything unless you really tried. That'll be an optional goal for me this season lol. :P

It used to be pretty popular, but now everyone just talks on facebook, myspace, AIM, etc.....

I'd love it if we could all get together in the chatroom. Doubt it'll happen though.

Question:
Has anyone taken the VIP tour at sfgam? If so, is it worth it? What do you get to see?

I know it's not worth it, the only benefit is free re-rides and skipping the line. For like a kabajillion dollars. I believe they just go around with you and explain everything, nothing behind the scenes.
