SFGAm buys Little Dipper from Kiddieland

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

SFGAm has a few old school pictures of Little Dipper up on their website.

I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Wow, that is really neat of them :) I really like the logo & slogan(if thats what it is) on the home page. "keeping the history alive". The actual page for little dipper is very nice as well. Im glad they are informing people about the ride as to who made it, when it was built, etc. Very awesome.

I am sure they will. They would be fools not to capitalize on it.

From looking at the video, the ride is about 75% complete. According to ABC7 Chicago, "The ride is tentatively scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend."

Wow Memorial Day huh. Great Progress. This is truly a fantastic move on Six Flag's part. And getting it open earlier than expected is an even bigger bonus. Hats to you Great America.

At this pace, early, but at the usual SF pace, delayed.

Getting the ride built is the easy part, the hard part comes when construction is done and it has to be outfitted with modern operating and safety systems.

I was at Six Flags yesterday and it didn't look like Little Dipper would be ready for opening day...They're still putting the wood together for the ride and looks rather unfinished...But you can definitely see its overall ride structure.

It isn't planned for that time frame....Memorial Day Weekend they said.

I was simply stunned how far they got along from May 9th to yesterday. The track looks almost all painted and sign is up. They were also pushing a car through the station today when I walked by. Here's hoping it does open this weekend.
