You will need Adobe PDF to read these, and you'll need to download them from Mediafile. I am not sure if I numbered them correctly. If any of these don't work, let me know.

I don't know if anyone knows about this, but if you go to the Gurnee public library and go up to the desk and ask for the Great America Folder, they have a folder that is about 2 inches thick full of original newspaper ad's, brochures, VIP invites, park announcements, press kits and just about everything relating to the park from about 1974-5 to the present day. It's pretty cool. I looked though it probably about 5-6 years ago with some other people and we brought a laptop and a scanner and scanned just about everything in the entire folder. I got most of it, but it's way to much to post anywhere.
I strongly recommend that if anyone is interested about the history of the park and other stuff like this to take a few hours out of their day and go to the library and check it out, the library is right near the town hall about 5 mins from park. It's at..

If anyone wants I can zip up the folder I got and send it to anyone who wants it, and if Dave or some other admin on this site wants to host it all, it will need some simple editing and have an online archive or something. I think I got 107 files total, it's a majority of what's in the folder.
Favorite Wood Coasters: The Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, Thunderhead, Balder Favorite Steel: Voltron Nevera, Steel Vengeance, Expedition GeForce, Olympia Looping Parks visited: 232, Coasters Ridden: Steel: 894, Wood: 179, Total: 1073
I tried emailing it and it's to big, if anyone wants it, send me a PM. If you include an AIM handle that may work best as a file transfer. In the meantime next time I talk to plencner he has a server, perhaps he can host it.

Everytime I see this topic, I think about that Mr. Peabody show in Theatre Royale before. That was a really fun show. I wish they could bring that back. I remember really enjoying it.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
They are actually still on the server. So, when I get home, I can look to zip them all up and host them if needed. We have 102 jpg files using just under 60 MB of space.
