Pass Processing Questions Topic

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Nystagmus on April 29th, 2010, 7:01 pm
I've searched the SF site and this site and I feel that the answer is right in front of me, but I can't find it.

I'm going to buy my pass online and I'd like to know:
1. Do I need to have my ID/credit card with me when I go in for processing, or just the voucher?
2. I'm buying a season parking pass, where does that let me park?

I think it's funny that me, as a former long-time employee of the park, can't even find the answer to these questions. :D To be honest, the last pass I ever bought was in 1980 something.

Its a good idea to have all your IDs with you along with the voucher to get your pass processed. As for the parking pass, you can actually purchase your Parking Pass at the Booths outside the parking lot, That is what I did, and as long as you keep your receipt you will be fine.

Also,

The parking pass allows you to park in the general parking lot like everyone else.

Like Galvan said, it wouldn't hurt to have your ID with you while you processed the pass, but I doubt you would need it. Both times I have processed a pass they haven't asked for any kind of identification.

Always carry your ID with you everywhere is a good rule to go by. For processing, all 3 SF parks I've had a SP from did not require an ID.

For parking, you get to park in the front lot. If they give you a slip of paper (which they are doing this year) show the attendant at the entrance to the front lot your pass and you are good to go.

You can purchase your parking pass online, at the toll booth, or at the pass processing center. If you decide to buy it at the pass processing center please make sure to take your receipt from parking that day with you so they can take that off of the price of the pass. YES! They do need the receipt to take the money off. If you purchase your parking pass online, just print it off on your printer and show it at the tolls and make sure you bring it in with you to the pass processing center. If you purchase it at the tolls, please make sure they give you TWO (2) receipts. One receipt has all of the pricing stuff and the other receipt is smaller one with a bar code on it. That is the one that they need in the pass processing center.

With the parking pass you get to park in the lot closest to the park.

*NOTE: The Parking Pass only goes on ONE (1) person's pass. It is not a pass for the car or for the family. You have to decide who's pass you want the parking to go on. That person has to be in the car in order for you to use it. Put it on the person who will come the most. Put it on the kid's pass. Like that mom, dad, brother, sister, grandma, grandpa, anyone can bring the kid and get in.

As for processing your season pass, they usually don't ask for your id. But I would still carry it if I plan to buy anything with a credit card in the park cause they have to ask for ID if the card is not signed!

I didn't know the person with the parking pass needs to always be in the car...it should apply to the whole family

^All parks do the requirement of the person must be there. Some chains (all the Orlando parks except the cheap levels, Cedar Fair chain wide pass) include it with each pass. Interestingly, at SF STL you can add more people to parking passes for a discount rate.

I bought my season pass online this year. I printed it out along with the receipt. But, as is my wont, I lost the paper I printed out with the barcode on it. Luckily, I still have the receipt. But now I'm afraid that if I go to Guest Relations tomorrow morning, they won't let me retrieve my pass since I haven't processed it yet.

Is that bad? Will it jeopardize anything? Or does it not make a difference and I will be fine since I have the receipt?
