What is in the season pass coupon booklet?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Someone mentioned in one of the TR's that the coupon booklet is the worst ever? Can anyone spare the time to mention any of the coupons or at least any notable ones? Or is it really terrible?

Did they purposely leave out the $10 off a flash pass again? Best coupon, and it wasn't in last year :(

^No flash pass coupon or free day at Key Lime Cove this year. The front of the book has 4 Key Lime Cove "deals" for nights at hotel for over $100. The only coupon worthwhile to me is the bring a friend to any other SF park for half off.

Oh, if you have a SF pass from any other SF park, they were giving out coupon books away to us as well. My STL pass got me one and I saw someone with a SFKK get one as well.

I was disappointed this year as well. The Season Pass Processing was a MESS yesterday.

They are now recording the numbers on your season pass to get a coupon booklet, and an employee even told me they were reprinting them with a date on them to show you had received a booklet, but that wasn't the case for me. I'm assuming they'll have most of this figured out by today.

What a disappointment... $10 off of a flash pass must really destroy the company as we know it considering those flash passes must be so costly for each park to have.

I will make sure to tell them to mark my coupon book extra good because I wouldn't want another shitty book of deals advertising an overpriced kid hotel if it was forced upon me.

I noticed this, why were they writing everyone's number down? So someone doesn't go in and say "Oh I lost my book can I get a new one?"

haha, that is a pretty lackluster coupon booklet.

Nothing there is of much use. The meal deals are from deals...any smart person will just walk to the car and go across the street to Golden Corral. $8 for quality all you can eat food. Good for the day then.

Those $10 off flash pass coupons were great.

That would make seance, seeing as I ended up with 4 books last year. They really need to train their employees to not give out books to people from other parks.

So lets see here:

People complained about: The Season pass booklet, The ads on Whizzer, The lines at SUF. What else do you people want to add.

I dont know about you but A season pass that offers FREE access to 14 RollerCoasters and a Free huge water park seems like a spectacular deal to me. And BTW that pass was only what? 65 dollars?

^ i agree 100%!

All you guys have done is complained since the season started, when I bet none of you noticed that Carousel Plaza was repaved, all paint on the ground was repainted, AND not to mention a dozen other upgrades. You may not notice it, but our park has taken a in a large amount of maintenance. And so what if there are a few additional ads here and there. Without them, you wouldn't have gone to the park yesterday.

People are right to complain when they are given a season pass book that they find to be useless!!!

The ads on whizzer are an embarrassment to a true coaster classic and much worse than the dumb sign on Viper. And since complaints are asked for(i dont have many though as the park looked very nice and the employee's were very good) On opening day why does RB have the back row and another additional seat be non-operating??? I guess the off season is too short to make sure everything is ok, or replace the chewed up hard plastic on some of the coaster cars (do you really not replace part of the coaster cars from last year that were damaged, and let them sit in storage and then bring them back out where it looks like someone has been gnawing on them??). And lastly for awhile I thought maybe I was at Mt Olympus because at several food stands/stores the employee's spoke very limited amount of English and had to call another employee to questions

Wait a minute

What the hell more do you want? You get UNLIMITED access to 14 Coasters and a HUGE Water park for the initial price of what 65 dollars? They dont have to give you a coupon book. Does Cedar Fair do that? (i dont know)

I have the right to question the complains of those who complain about getting "not enough" when really the Season Pass is MORE THAN ENOUGH.

Well to each his own, but anybody here can discuss their dissatisfaction with something they payed for. Value to you probably means something different than what it means to several of us.

If we payed this price for a season pass in the years past and got a better overall product, whats wrong with being dissatisfied if that product's quality isn't as good.

There is no doubt the value of the pass is great, but you still have to factor in the $70 for the parking pass, and not to mention as pass holders we dump our money into their concessions and stores more through the year then the general visitor.

As someone who spends quite a bit of money through the summer (and do not complain about it) .. I don't see why I shouldn't be disappointed that the offers I normally get have been all but depleted and then on top of that the park is tagged with corporate mumbo jumbo even more than before.

I apologize for being a pain in the ass and considering I probably can't think of anything else I will complain about this year... it should be one of the last things I argue...hopefully.

Cedar Fair is a different story I think... not only is the amount of advertising microscopic in comparison, but you are getting a better product. More rides, better shows, great summer location. This of course is opinion though.

If you bought parking on your pass, the price is the same as last year. They just flipped the numbers.

The season pass coupon books have almost always been useless. The Bring a friend for free tickets are the best value in the book...but they are usually for the hardest days to use the coupons.

I don't think anybody is buying the season pass for the coupon book anyhow....it's one of the things I am surprised they even offer.

I will say, if you travel with friends the bring a friend for half price to any other SF park is a great value.

Seeing as I always get the gold flash pass anyway, the $10 off is not THAT much to me. $57 normally for one not bad considering I eat very little in the park and only drink water. A season pass is worth it anyway u look at it.

For all of you complaining, if they would have never given you the coupon book in the first place would you complain then? I'm guessing yes based on what seems to a never-ending cycle of whining. Bottom line is the season pass is a phenomenal deal which gives you access to 14 coasters AND a water park. To say I have been screwed over because the coupon books aren't up to what you think is bar is ignorant.

Au contrare -- nobody said they felt ripped off, more or less disappointed. I am sure you have felt disappointed about something before that someone else thought was ridiculous.

Everyone here has the right to sound off if they are disappointed. The price and product are great, nobody is denying that. So what if some of us believe the booklet should have more. Its quite possible that some of you are a little hypersensitive to the park taking ANY criticism.

My comments on this are that I think it would be better if they had more food discounts like Papa John's, or the Beef place. They only have chicken baskets, and hamburger baskets for cheaper. I don't know. Did they even had food before? I guess it's something.

They have no Key Lime Cove free waterpark pass, but that makes sense because it's something free, and I bet you people just went for the free thing, and never stayed. To me, it seems like the Funnel Cake raised their prices again, and they give you another coupon for that, but why raise it even more? Geesh. Last year, the Funnel Cake was buy one, get one for $2. Now, it's buy 1, and only get $1 off.

I guess my only other thing is that they don't have merchandise buy one Get One Free on Mondays anymore. They still have buy 1, get half off, but not for Mondays. Other than that, it seems the same type of stuff they always had except no Flash Pass discount (Do I care? Nope.), and no go on the trolley (Do I care? Nope.)

The fact that they aren't offering as many discounts is normally a good sign for a company. Get over it
