You may be a bit ambitious there with hoping for any sort of sun... but if you are only 15 minutes away, no reason not to go to the park today with a season pass!
Just called the park, the lady said that they have no intentions of closing early, and are operating 10-8 today. You know that if they're not closing early, that there's going to be an empty park due to the rain!

I don't really believe her sorry to say. What is a park going to say, don't come to the park because we might shut it down early. Rain is in the bottom part of IL right now. It's coming. Again though, if you live close, why not go even if it does shut down early, and you have a season pass. However though it's not a bad day to go to the park because it's probably at least going to be rain free till 5 pm. So, you figure 10 am - 5pm, and that's a 7 hour day.

Just wanted to say that everyone that said today was going to be a wash....well, you were all WRONG. Outside of a bit of rain around 8:30 this morning, it NEVER rained all day.
Today was a GREAT day to be out in the park. I'll post a TR here soon, with a link to my facebook page with a lot of pictures.
Since u all say it was pretty dead today why use a flash pass? THAT excited about riding Bull before anyone else? And even though it was pretty dry till around 8-9 here like I said I live far and all along my brother was supposed to take me tomorrow. Which, I hope, nobody will tell me they are planning on going.
Chang is not at the park. U just posted they found it in Kentucky. Maybe after finding out about the staircase/support they decided to keep it under wraps till the fall when they announce where it will end up in 2011.
Going back out to the park again today (April 25th). While I know I'm in Racine, but the sun is TRYING to peek out of the clouds. Radar is CLEAR right now over most of northern Illinois. So, hopefully today is just as good as yesterday!
