2010 opening day April 17th?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

So since I am about to do this very soon, how does renewing your pass online work? I have that thing they sent out to 09 pass holders where they have your pass with your picture but u have to activate it online when you pay the $64.99. So, when I do it online, do I still go straight to Season pass Processing on my first trip (next weekend) & do I take a new picture? When does that free ticket you get for renewing come into play?

How do u get to go to the Advocate Days? This weekend will be coller than it has been but so far sunny skies.

You have to have a relative in the Advocate career field.

I just checked the weather forecast for opening weekend. Forecast calls for temps in the mid 50's with showers friday and saturday. :( By tomorrow the weather for Sunday should be forecast. Sounds like another bad opening weekend. Its cursed I tell you. Hopefully if it does rain, and the park is open, theyll hand out free vouchers to get in the park. As long as it doesnt rain. I dont care about how cloudy it is, as long as it does not rain!

30-60% chances are nothing. I have even seen it not rain or snow when it said it will 80%. Weather in Chicago, due to the lake, changes all the time. Deciding day for everyone should be Friday. My brother is taking me and he and his wife will hit the mall/movies as I told him I am not leaving till at least 6.

My ideal opening day weather:

50F
Winds Calm
Overcast
Light Morning rain

To me, it's not a opening weekend without a chilly overcast day. I can remember it being like that for as long as I can remember. Last year it snowed up by my house the morning before, that was cool. I remember in 07 it was almost 70's and sunny. And it was extremely busy which sucked.

Well, the weather still calls for scattered thunderstorms. 63 degrees with 40% chance of precipitation. And sunday looks like a perfect day. 58 degress with 0% precipitation. I cant go sunday, i can only go opening day this weekend. grr...hope you all are right and the weather changes. Plus whenever I go the great america, the little sign in the booths where u buy ur tickets always say "Today's chance of precipitation: 10%." So that gives me a little confidence.

I believe this belongs here since it has to do with opening day.

Quote from Screamscape:

http://www.screamscape.com/html/six_fla ... merica.htm

"(4/16/10) Six Flags Great America will open for the 2010 season with a Buy One Get One Free ticket offer with a qualified Goodwill donation according to the latest press release. “Six Flags Great America teams up with Goodwill Industries to kick off the 2010 season. Bring a bag of gently-used clothing to Six Flags Great America opening weekend, April 24 and 25, and receive a buy one admission ticket, get one free. Plus get BOGO deals around the park on select treats and games, including the all-new MagiQuest.”"

73 is not THAT far from 58. So if you bring in gently used clothes, u get a free ticket only if u buy one? A season pass holder does not benefit?

Why would we need a free ticket if we have season passes? If we are going with someone else that does not have a SP, then they can get the deal.
