Somehow, something doesn't add up. If this was "scheduled maintenance" Why is the WHOLE RIDE being taken down? If it was a repaint, I don't think they would call it Maintenance, at least just say we're making it look pretty.
^ The problem here is people are looking at Condor as an amusement park ride. In actuality, Condor is a carnival ride that just happens to have been operating in a theme park for 20 years. It is designed to easily be taken apart. Nothing on the ride is even attached to the ground.
yep, it's trailer mounted, I'm guessing there is either regularly scheduled inspection happening (like every 5-10 years or something like that) or there was a recent safety bulletin from Huss that requires them to check something out, though I haven't seen it so far.

^For the love of god, what is your obsession with Condor? The SFGAm facebook page stated that the ride will be up and running this year so give it a freakin rest.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
These rehabs happen with some frequency, the only thing I would be concerned about is the timeframe for it opening. Condor got rehabbed in 2005 and didnt open until July, DejaVu got a major rehab in 2003 and didn't open until July, Triple Play got a major rehab in 2004 and didnt open until July, ERC closed for rehab in the late summer of 2002 and opened the next year....however when there is a need for an "unforseen" rehab they normally can do a flat really quick.
Every off-season they have a different schedule of flats to rehab? Like there set in groups like say Jesters, Ricochet, Orbit and Triple Play get rehab one off-season then say the next off season Condor, Fiddler's Fling, Revy and dodge get rehab. They could just go off that or maybe its like if a ride has a problem with something during the season then they rehab it?
But back to flash passes, maybe just because of all the flash passes going on they might just do what they did with demon and have a row or section(if its a flat like drop) blocked off on the train for them, hopefully in the middle were nobody likes to ride
Also, dose anyone think more rides than just Cajun are going to have a single rider line? Because I really like how that works so you can squeeze in a few rides if lines are extremely long.
God bless NIU Next SFGAm trip: Today May 1st SFGAm '10 ride count-53
I don't think any rides but Dark Knight are contenders for Single Riders. I wish Dark knight did a single rider, as I like the ride, but it's not worth waiting 45 minutes for anything, maybe 5 but not 45. Or a "Skip the pre-show" line. lol

Oh No. Please no.

I use Flash Pass at Drop. And it doesn't bother me whatsoever. I really don't see any other way to do it at Drop. But as for Demon....Yeah, return it to how it was when it was the Fast Lane.

They might as well take it out ... I got stuck at the top on that thing. Considering its age and overall feeling of oldness, I was feeling a little sure that I was going to be taking a 100 foot plunge in plastic bird.
I haven't read through these boards in a while, but every thread has people arguing with each other. Too much drama!
It would work fine at Demon if the left side of the queue was standby and they made the right Flashpass. Adding a handrail [at the top of the stairs] might drain the parks budget for the year though . As far as singles lines go it was very easy to do at Cajun because it already had a path for it, TDK will never have a singles line (unless they skip the preshow which should not and won't happen because its like the best part of the ride). Rides that have pre-shows and singles lines have seperate railed areas for the single riders then the path runs next to the queue up to the station, they added a singles line to Rockin' Rollercoaster a few years ago and it involved redesigning the queue which SF definitley will not do.
