Just drove by SFGAm around an hour ago. Giant Drop has one of its cars back on the side facing Demon. The other ones still just have the catchcars at the top. Big news of the day is Condor. There was a crane next to the ride. Took that photo and then went around one more time on my way back to 41, and looked in and saw the top half of the tower in the air. So I turned back in and got a second photo, though by this time, the tower section was on the gound. So whatever kind of rehab they are doing is definitely major, even back in 2005 when it was closed from September 04 until July 2005, they didn't remove anything from the tower.
"And, yesterday, my boss sat in on a meeting where Mr. Shapiro asked the Head of Ops to look into a package of flat rides for Great Adventure. You GrAdv dudes sure are vocal about what you want."
Condor "removal" a coincidence?
Let the speculation begin.
"I've been told that some part of every wish will be heard but lately I lost sight of the truth in those words."
What the hell is this. Please excuse my anger, BUT WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON! A few of GrAd fans complain about a lack of flats, and Shapiro says, BOOM, here you go! If any of us Talk to Shapiro about our park, lacking some aspect, Shapiro would say something along the lines of, "We have a master plan here, and we need to focus on in-park spending. Families. Marketing. VALUE. VALUE." Give me a God Damn break. If Condor is removed, I WILL BOYCOTT SIX FLAGS. MARK. MY. WORDS.

Go complain somewhere else. Because it is all about the VALUE, Six Flags wants people to feel like they got a bang for their buck. This way people will want to visit the park over and over again.

Maybe for the very first time in recent memory they will have all the lights working on it and it will look halfway presentable at night. Or paint so it also looks presentable during the day, though I think I'm asking too much. And in my continued fantasy they can give it a real program and not have it continue to be a glorified observation tower
