I visited six flags great america website this afternoon between 2pm & 2:30pm and i was registering for a walk in the park and my page refreshed and here comes a new addition to the page.go check it out.
I just found this out on newsplusnotes.com so I popped on here to see who found out about it first its very interesting, and I hope they blend it well in county fair. There's our answer to why the games are gone :/ haha I know it'll be good for a lot of people, I however don't quite find it interesting but I will def try it out and then decide before judgin the book by its cover.
(sings)If you want to be my Chang-y, doesn 't matter if your black or white, or brown, or blue, or green, or red, or orange, or mauve, or yellow... 2010 trips- Dollywood, SFGAm, maybe SoCal
I love how I said "I find it interesting" then said I don't find it interesting. Wow...what I mean is, I find it interesting in idea and placement. How it will "fit in" is beyond me but then again pirates in county fair suited well, so why not "pixies" and dragons Now that I see its that rumored upcharge attraction, I may pass. I travel too much, need that dough. Haha that $20could be admission into a small park haha wow I'm lame. Ok all seriousness on this topic, I'm happy knowing its somethin new and a lot of people(let's hope for sfgams sake) will find it to be great.
Yes, we should all avoid that area because of those darn geeks, and small kiddies. Jeeez, Harry Potter wannabee's will be flooding that area. I'll try to keep my kids out of that area if you want, so your experience will be better at the park.
I know I won't be spending money on MagiQuest, but that doesn't mean that other families won't. If it brings in income for the park, no matter how much you dispise it, it's a good thing.
If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.
I'm really intrigued by the life sized dragon...the farthest I have to understanding this "world" is the 3lord of the rings movies haha but if its a robotic life sized dragon I just may buy my wand
This will be a cash cow for both companies. That said, I despise all upcharge attractions and wonder why they are adding items that will, odds are, will not draw people in.
I think that this may be the worst idea that six flags has ever had. I am a big Harry Potter fan read all the books and have seen all the movies but you can virtually get the same game experience by buying a wii console and the 2 Harry Potter titles. Come on Six Flags gotta get some better ideas than this!!!!!! AND SERIOUSLY AN ADDITIONAL COST GET REAL PEOPLE WE ARE IN A RECESSION/DEPRESSION.
Well, I wont be using it. They might as well re-theme CF to "Adventure land" I can see it now. Actually its not a bad idea considering we have -pirates -demons -dragons -pixies -wizards -and wolves Oh My!
Am I the only one excited by this? It's great that they have season pass discounts and i'll definitely try and check it out sometime this season. From what i've heard about MagiQuest, everyone says it's a unique and great experience. My only concern is will anyone actually pay for parking, pay to get into the park, pay for food, pay for lockers, and then pay another $20-$30 for this? We don't know how big this one will be in comparison to other MagiQuests out there yet. I'm very surprised we're getting three new attractions this year, even if one of them is an upcharge.

Umm... look around you.
Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking, isn't thinking of.

That was my point on it not being a draw. With one at the Mall of America and another one going in a mall in the burbs of Chicago, I don't get the point. How do you market this one when you have to pay park admission to get in, it's closed half the year along with the park and you will need a locker to use this and the theme park? At least with the other upcharge rides you ride and go on your day, but here they are asking you to carry around some wand.
This will make a ton this year. My worry is the performance from 2011 on.

Wrong and Wrong. We are in neither.
Additionally, if you're spending 50 bucks to get into the park in the first place, something tells me a family could handle another twenty if they really wanted to. It's another addition which is nice, especially since practically noone went back into County Fair games anymore anyway...

don't forget the scariest two..... Eagles and Wiggles, Oh my!!!! Anyways, as huge as a Harry Potter nerd as I am, this is the geekiest thing I've ever seen by SF and I will not be riding, waving, or experiencing it anytime soon.

After reading about it on the SF site, this sounds like it will be unique and fun. Kids will definitely get into it.
3 confirmed additions for 2010 1. Little Dipper 2. Glow in the Park Parade 3. Magiquest
Not bad at all.
Oh, but Chitown it IS bad. Nowhere on that list of additions is a new thrill ride, or big coaster. All of those additions relate only to those d*** kids. I mean, come on, the park has what......twice as many family attractions than thrill rides right? Sometimes in these forums it feels like the older child is throwing a fit because the younger child is getting more toys for Christmas.

Why do this this soon after tdk? Could have had a rocking dark shooter coaster for the cash.... It'll have no draw and last ten years for how much cash? Great.... You won't spend money on rides for adults, but you'll make parents pay 120 more for one attraction after they already pay $220 to get in? Then the food drinks snacks and toys the kids want? No way a family of four leaves without a $600 lighter wallet. Too bad so few poeple will go.
