Please. Please. Please. Please. Please realize that this is just a rumor and no one besides those who know at Six Flags know what's happening with Chang. I don't think you know more than I do where Change is. This will be an epic laugh if Change ends up going somewhere else like SFOG.
Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Realize that CHANG doesn't have an "e" in its name.

If we do get chang, people will complain that the trains werent changed. If the trains were changed, they'd complain about that.
If we don't get chang, people will complain that six flags was in deceptive practices and how dare they leak photographs that no one took. Also, don't forget all the complaining about how we havent got a major ride since 1999/1993/1976 whatever year people wanna think.
I mean if you really look at the photo and study six flags a bit, everything comes out crystal clear to me. why does everyone think just cause they read wikipedia and once built a coaster in RCT3 they are an expert?

It seems you just don't want Chang, and even when people are saying if we get Chang or not, it's OK. You're going about saying that we've been acting as bigots, not thinking it could go to another park, to.

I'll say this quickly as not to littler the forum with opinions and try to keep a ridiculous thread on topic. Seriously though, feel free to im me anytime, i have all of my contact information in my profile.
I mean yeah I would like to get a new coaster, even if it's a hand me down from another park. I mean who wouldn't want a new installation of a giant coaster? It's the fact that everyone bickers and argues about such pointless things.
The pipe under superman was clearly some sort of drainage/main water pipe. Since when are coaster supports hollow on the inside? I'm pretty sure that's not where the nougat filling goes.
The pipe found in the employee parking lot was clearly a support piece. Even more clearly someone wrote on there Local XXX Kentucky and then made a signature accent mark.
No one knows where the rest of the track is, except for SF officials and whoever was hired to store it.
I mean we go back and forth arguing about how the ride will suck if its one way or another. It's like a lot of people have lost the point of the roller coaster; sit down and have some fun. Everyone wants to believe that XXX would be better if it wasnt for YYYY. (raging bull without the trim brakes, iron wolf with new trains/new supports, demon with more themeing, everything coaster justin says, ect).
I mean david, its blatantly obvious you have a lot of passion for the park. The other side of it is theres those people like me who couldn't care what trains are on what coaster or if its a world breaker or not. As long as it's fun I'll gladly pay admission to it. Plus there's so many different types of people on here. Me, im a 24 yearold broke ass part time worker dating a girl who's had a kid (not even my dna) who can barley keep afloat financially. My only respite is going to the park every few weeks. It's one of the only places where I don't feel the weight of the world on me for some reason.
For other people though, they always want the park to be the biggest and bestest park evar. Coaster Justin is a prime example of that. I'm not knocking him at all because it takes all kinds of people in order to make sure SFGAm is around for generations to come. Also, he does have some good ideas, just needs a bit more reality in there.
I'm not even going to pretend i know anything about you though cause all I know is you are 14-15 and have a great passion for the park. Again, the park needs that and so does this website.
But I digress. Again if you want to discuss my opinion or want me to hear yours, seriously I'm always up for a Six Flags chat. That goes to anyone reading this post too. It's just I'm very grateful for what the park has given us so far and think it's unfair/selfish/rude to be demanding of the park. I am not saying you fit into that category in the slightest but thats the vibe i get from this forum sometimes.

^ You have some really great points there, I'd like to personally comment on each.

I really think that the forum should add a chat, just like TPR has. So that we can cover any small talking points there, and important information here.

As many have stated, that pipe was for one of the flumes, as it has been leaking. All coaster supports are mostly hollow, when leaving Bull next time, hit the support, and it'll echo. Meaning, it's hollow. If they weren't it would weigh upwards of like 10 tons. (not really.)
The pipe found in the employee parking lot was clearly a support piece. Even more clearly someone wrote on there Local XXX Kentucky and then made a signature accent mark.
Yes, indeed it is. What was said at No COaster Con was all simply a joke, Although Dameon is a really good BSer. I kid.
No one knows where the rest of the track is, except for SF officials and whoever was hired to store it.
I really do want to know where all the track is. I wish someone from Kentucky could go over there and take a look somewhere. Or we got really big shipments, and they are all stored inside somewhere...
I mean we go back and forth arguing about how the ride will suck if its one way or another. It's like a lot of people have lost the point of the roller coaster; sit down and have some fun. I will admit about 50% of what I say on here is mostly wishful thinking, and i'm trying to stop that. Really, the probability of something like a stand-up to floorless is not going to happen, because the GP doesn't care, it's a new coaster.
I mean david, its blatantly obvious you have a lot of passion for the park. I know where your coming from, and I understand completely that i've been a jackass lately, and I'm sorry for that. I do care for our park greatly, and as I think you do, I want the best for our park, during a time like this, you can never be certain. SF closed KK out of nowhere the other day. Maybe that's because your on B:TR and your feeling weightless!
I'm not even going to pretend i know anything about you though cause all I know is you are 14-15 and have a great passion for the park. Again, the park needs that and so does this website.
Let me introduce you to myself. My name is David Rayahin. I'm 14, and I attend some really terrible school. I enter high school next year, and If i'm not mistaken, a few people on here or on SFGAmZone go to it. Six FLags and theme parks in general are my escape. I've recently had a [insert word of choice here] of a friend turn on me, so I've had a lot of crap on my plate recently. My family also struggles with money, I save, mostly, all year for my Season pass (BTW when do we get that thing in the mail?) and have little money to spare. I'm a Mac and only use my PC for gaming. So I'm a typical teen, except that I enthuse greatly for Amusement Parks, and Aircraft. I'm also the proud owner of david.rayahin.com as my blog.
Well without getting sucked into anything, I'll hit the question-like points....
There is a chat, in the blue bar at the top of each forum page just below the spiffy new countdown clock, it should start with user control panel on the right, then on the left there are buttons and one is Chat, though there is usually no one in there.
All coaster supports are hollow, though most have solid flanges on the ends to keep water, rodents or whatever out, or in the case of some B&M's at some parks where noise is a factor, keep the sand in.
People have driven past SFKK and checked out where they were storing Chang during deconstruction and the area is completely empty and has been for probably about 2-3 months now. I highly doubt it's at SFGAm else it would be blatantly obvious. SFGAm really doesn't have enough room behind the scenes to store that much stuff. Best guess is that it's at another SF park. I think the chances of us getting it are dropping and plans have changed. The last rock solid info I had that it was coming here was from last March/April, a lot can change in that time period.

Really? It seems like it was not even talked about till August/September. And why would they get rid of SSA NOW when it has been SBNO since 2007? They are planning something for that area in 2011.
^Waterpark expansion? I don't know what's going on with Chang or the future of our park, but I can only hope for the best.
I, like many, go to SFGAm because it's a unique and special experience that doesn't happen everyday. I've met some great friends there and hope to meet many more. The thing I don't like about the park is when I know they could be doing something to easily and cheaply improve the park and the don't.

A waterpark expansion is not needed. Some parks in the chain still do not have some things in HH we have. Like Great Adventure is JUST getting a Tornado. They would not take down Space Shuttle America if they did not want to replace it for 2011.
^Thing is, the water park hit capacity a lot. Personally, I'll never go to the water park, but tons of people do. Which works out great at keeping the dry park lines shorter. So I say bring on the water park expansion.
on the subject of chang, you guys should be a jury

Six Flags isn't going to get Chang. They just took it out for a dummy plan. What's worse is that they are going to have to pay money to get it back to Kentucky Kingdom, and put it back up. Six Flags had to know they were going to close out that park. You wouldn't close down the back half of that park including a roller coaster (without taking it down) if you were going to stay open. Sure, at SFGAdv they closed a Music Express, and Bumper Cars, but there is no roller coaster that they just left standing up facing the street.
Are those trains that are now at SFStL from that double track wooden coaster at Kentucky Kingdom going to have to go back too? Was SFKK a packaged deal park as they acquired other parks with SFKK? To me, it just makes diddly sense to even get this small of park to become a Six Flags park (when they did get it). This park is almost as small as Kiddieland or maybe Santa's Village, and not the size of Six Flags Great America, or Six Flags Magic Mountain.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
^The park is deceptively large. The walk from the Ferris Wheel to T2 to Thunder Run going around the water park was the same walk from Demon, around the front of the park to V2 if not longer.
Chang was on the land owned by Six Flags. At least a great majority of it was. They paid taxes for the land/rides & technically they can prove they planned a water park as I am sure they knew they would be in trouble if it came out they did not intend to replace Chang. They are not idiots. Chang is not coming back to Kentucky. It would have mentioned them wanting it back they just said Six Flags never intended to replace it.
Well Kentucky Kingdom isn't letting Chang go without a fight.
Weeks after Six Flags decided to shut down Kentucky Kingdom, state officials are now involved in a legal fight over the remaining thrill rides.
The Chang rollercoaster was removed last year to make way for a water-park expansion.
That expansion never started and the Kentucky State Fair Board claimed it was never going to happen.
That claim was made in a lawsuit filed by Kentucky officials suing Premier, the owner of Six Flags.
At issue: they want the bankruptcy judge to declare the rides and other attractions on the land owned by the fair board as fixtures, or part of the property.
They're also suing for breach of contract and damages caused by Six Flag's removal of any rides.
The suit accused Premier of fraud regarding the removal of Chang and the promise of improvements.
Earlier this month, when the park closed, the president of the state fair board said he was just as shocked as the public.
"We were surprised by the news release. We weren't notified ahead of time. We didn't receive one," Kentucky State Fair Board President Harold Workman said on February 5.
The state is hearing from Six Flags in the form of a countersuit. The company disputed the ownership of the thrill rides and asked a bankruptcy judge to declare that the contested rides are not the landlord's property and the company should be allowed to remove those rides.
State officials said there are other parties interested in running the park, so the ruling on who owns the rides is crucial.
This case is playing out in bankruptcy court because the amusement park operator filed for Chapter 11 in June 2009.
Barring a settlement, the judge overseeing the Chapter 11 case will decide who owns the rides.
