And the staircase? You know, the one identical to Chang's station staircase which was dropped off with the support?

I'm not saying that this "pipe" Isn't for a water main break. I'm just saying that maybe Six Flags isn't lying about the Water Main repair. I remember there being another "pipe" near Superman...

The guy was laughing when he said water main break. It was a joke, nothing more. Not to difficult here.

the green pipe is for a repair on the flume(s).

They should repaint the flume colors. It's not that they paint has worn off, but rather I think those 2 flumes should be different colors. in my opinion, it would be great if Logger's Run was brown, and Yankee Clipper was white or red.

The flume(s) haven't got much life left, at CGA one of the flumes was almost completely re "tracked".

Yeah leaks are frequent and they are what from the mid 70's but still attract large crowds and the park cannot afford to have such a huge amount of empty space as we know they are in no position to replace major rides too soon.

We have 3 decent water rides in the park and even though Roaring rapids remains the most popular LR and YC are same at least for a few years.

I was actually surprised by how busy Yankee Clipper was this year when it was open. I can think of a few times during the summer when the ride had at least a half full que.

I waited about 20 minutes this summer in July for Yankee Clipper. I was SURPRISED! I almost waited 1hr and a half for Roarin' Rapids.

For Chang, now we might not even get it. Why? Maybe, the fair board of Kentucky will sue Six Flags, and say you lied to us about making a waterpark expansion, and that they just wanted the coaster out of there to give it to another park. To me, those are all Six Flags rides. They put most of them in (I don't know if they put all of them in, but I know they put a lot of them in.), but the contract says otherwise. So, cross your fingers that SFGAm or whatever park is getting it, is going to keep it. They would be better off putting it up this year (2010) because than it would be harder for KY to take it away from them. In pieces, KY would be able to take it back easily.

Six Flags bought and installed Chang. Plus the ride is already all gone from Kentucky and again I see no reason why the park cannot get the rides out of there the board owned the land not the rides themselves...They did not buy the rides Six Flags did.

^Chang was actually bought by the first owners before Premier bought the place. Chang opened for the 1997 season and the park was sold after the 1997 season.

The only non kiddie or water park rides brought in by SF and are left are GL, the rapids ride and Road Runner Express for sure. Twisted Twins is questionable due to the time it went it. Everything else that was a flat ride is already gone.

Word on the street is increasingly saying that SFGAm will not be getting Chang. The plans have been scrapped, and it will be appearing at another park. That is if stuff doesn't get weird and the Fairgrounds demand it back or something.

Various message boards and forums, from posters that usually seem to know what they are talking about. Not right 100% of the time, but usually pretty close.

That's another reason park's don't announce stuff or confirm/deny anything way ahead of time. Corporate plans are never set until groundbreaking. Look at the Demon Drop situation.

I've heard, from various PR emails, that:

"At this time, we cannot confirm the parks 2011 attraction. We can tell you that for the 2010 season we will be adding the Little Dipper, and the Glow in the Park parade! We look forward to seeing you in 2010!"

Another, for this one I pretended to be one of the GP:
I said:
" I can't wait to ride that chang ride in 2011!!! is it true!?"

Response:
"We can't wait to see you in 2011! But right now, we can't say if our park will get this new coaster. Please stay tuned, and keep visiting!"

I decided to become insidious:
"why cant you just tell me? not like your gunna loose anything!"

Response:
" I wish I could tell you something about the future of our park, but this information is confidential. At this time, we have been asked not to disclose any information about the future of the Chang coaster. The ride will be moved to another Six Flags property in the near future. Thank you for your interest!"

I took "At this time, we have been asked not to disclose any information about the future of the Chang coaster." as, "Shutup already, you'll get your coaster."

I hope I've perceived it correctly.

It means what it sounds like.... It will re open somewhere. I for one think it would be a headache to get chang into sfgam without displacing multiple rides and ticking people off. I know I was ticked off when we lost shockwave to a clone ride, and I wouldn't like chang that much more.... I say give us something truly new and original in 2011.... Tdk was a flop, and with dipper we have more kiddie rides than we can stand. Bottom line is we deserve another signature ride.... All we have that is original is American eagle, and raging bull. Every single other coaster is, or has been cloned (talking non kiddie coasters). Dont get me wrong, demon whizzer and batman were original, but have been cloned. I'm not wanting a strata or giga... I just want a ride that people would be really annoyed if it was moved or re themed, something that becomes part of the parks history. Chang would be a great king coaster for many parks, but sfgam needs to return to being original and edgy.... And a re themed chang would beef up an add a lot more edge to some parks than sfgam. I say put chang in the park it improves the most... Whatever that is.

They probably did get annoyed, but have to keep saying the same things. They really have no other option and no hidden messages.

And then we all wonder why parks try their best to avoid enthusiasts.

I think SFStL needs something bigger. All they have been getting is wooden coasters, and that Tony Hawk plus that used ride from SFGAdv. Yes, absolutely I love to see Chang at our park, but who knows with Six Flags. They also don't have a stand-up so they wouldn't have to change the trains. Look at SFOT. They have gotten something in 2008, and the last roller coaster they got was in 2001.

Yes, I know they are going to get the Texas Giant refurbished or brand new, but if it's refurbished, to me it's still going to be a junk ride. For such a big park (the chain beginning park, and open more than a lot of the other parks), SFOT only has 1 B&M (Batman the Ride) which to me is kind of shocking because Magic Mountain has Scream, Riddler's, & Batman; SFGAm has Superman, Iron Wolf, Batman, and Raging Bull; and SFGAdv has Nitro, Bizzaro, Batman, and Superman.

SFOT has a lot more lower capacity roller coasters like Mr. Freeze, La Vibora, Runaway Mountain, and Flashback. This is even though I like all these! Than, they have Shockwave (the good one! lol) that they are doing something with the track every year which they might think to replace to. I like that ride too!
