You want SFGAm to get a coaster ready by opening day? Ha! Next thing you know, you'll want be demanding to see an honest politician.
But being serious for a second, many people forget that one of the pledges Shapiro made when he was taking over the SF chain is that new rides/attractions should be ready when the parks opened. However, just a politician would, he seems to have forgotten this promise/pledge, as that sure hasn't happened a lot.
Besides the deal about them saving on money to staff the ride, I wonder if they won't do anything till March because they want to get out of bankruptcy, and thus don't want to spend money on workers, and additional wood to get the ride up until after the bankruptcy.

Planning to build a coaster does not take 7 months. It takes more than a year. They were not expecting to build a coaster so they are rushing a process that would usually take over a year. A lot of people were surprised the park said 2010. Most people were expecting it not to open until 2011.
Little Dipper came to GAm in a hurry, and let's say construction starts March, and this is a fragile coaster, Ends May, Testings for a week or so, and it's running by June 10? Right when schools get out!
^Its not just that though. They are installing a PLC, not to mention they need to rip down the ropes course and prep the ground for the coaster, build a brand new entrance. They've got stuff to do.

^Really? Dang those were definitely worth more than any ol' Batman sign. Deja Vu will go down in the history books for Six Flags and always be remembered, good or bad way.
one of my High School Math Books had pictures of Shockwave still under construction in it. I don't remember there being any real reason for it either, they were not talking about geometry or trig or anything like that. Should have stolen someone's book and hung onto it
