Postby SFGAM76 on January 18th, 2010, 5:39 pm
i know this is to early to talk about and it is too early to start such a topic. However, it is much closer then we think. What do we know so far about Fright Fest '10? is it gonna be better or crap like 2009

No, they will close in September and no longer have Fright Fest because it is simply one (if not the ) biggest money maker for them.

if i was in charge of whatever does fright fest heres how i would do it
1.put area 51 in Hometown Square where it used to be
2.don't have the scare zones (cell block A and rise of the Demon) actors in rise of the Demon walk around the area of the demon to the American raceway ride. have aliens and army men walking around area 51
3. put Ralphie the gorilla on sky trek tower
4.put in the pictorium the 3D movie Haunted Castle
5.instead of the freak parade i would do the thing that Great Adventure does called the Awakening and leads up to Dead mans party
6. have the actors from 2009 seven sins cemetery be the actors on the boo line so the boo line can be open again
7. put the human freak show back in Necropolis where it use to be
8. Bring back the vampires and Werewolves of Seven sins Cemetery
9. Bring back the Pirates at Yankee Harbor
10. put floating Bodies in the reflection pond
11. make south west scareitory have actors
12. make tinsletown terror scarrier
13.make studio 13 actually have 13 scens from 13 scary movies
14. have 2 chainsaws guys at the end of masolium of terror
15. make the masolium of terror scarier
16. open Blood River
17.have more clowns in carnEvil of doom
18. add a few more stuff to love at first fright
19. put a zombie Appacolypse area from the Iron Wolf to the Eagle
20.put the trick or treat trail in Bugs Bunny national park

SFGAM76, you're a typical newbie, you need to learn not to make useless topics. All newbies go through this, some recent examples are david and myself. Also, try the handy "search" button.

Man I havent made a post on this site in a really long time but heres whats up.

FIrst, yes it is ridiculous to make a FF topic in January but I will answer your question non the less.

Fright Fest is the biggest money maker for the park, but, the park also has to SPEND a lot of money to make the event what it is. And with how the economy has been lately, the entertainment department doesnt get that big of a budget for the event. (Yes, entertainment designs, builds, tears down, does EVERYTHING for fright fest, i'm an ent. employee) Along with that statement, i cant say anything for sure or not on anything related to the dept.

As for your ideas.
1. A51 will most likely not be back in Hometown square again because the FF layout is designed so families can get to kid areas by running into as few scare actors as possible.
2. Scare zones are probably gonna stay..... they make the park money.
3.Kong (thats what we call him) was only on condor last year because STT was being repainted, he should be back up this year.
4.Who knows what will happen with what shows in picto
5.FREAK! is our version of the awakening, its the same thing. We just do freak! because we actually have trolley tracks
6. I'd bet that we dont see a train show at fright fest for a while. Putting a new show into production costs a lot of money. Plus, to my knowledge there arent any scripts currently available for a train show.
----> FUN FACT! The strobe lights from the original train show are still hung in the roof of the hometown trainstation currently housing bird nests.
7.Necropolis needs to be used for Necropolis. The freak show was good on the Mission Stage and will most likely be there again this year.
8.Think about this. Vampires and warewolves in the seven sins cemetery is condradictory. This year, they had the seven deadly sins characters which are much more appropriate and will most likely return. However, characters are a JPM decision with park approval. Check the JPM site for info on this one.
9. They were gone due to budget cuts i believe, nothing we can do about it.
10. This is a hard subject. If i remember correctly, the park is no longer allowed to have certain forms off dead bodies and such that are part of the family portions of the park (which is why haunted houses, necro, etc are exceptions because they are scare zones, not family zones). So dead bodies in the reflection pond probably wont happen but who knows.
11.Again, you've got to get out of the mindset that the park has gobs of money to spend on actors.
12.Great statement!!! Have any suggestions? Dont point out a problem if you dont have a way to fix it. Tinseltown is fine as it is.... its meant to resemble a series of movie sets and hold a haunted house..... oh wait, it does.
13. No room. Studio 13 is just a play on words of sorts being that studio 13 is supposed to be and unlucky studio. With fire codes, OSHA, and all that jazz, its hard to design a haunted house that has 13 rooms.
14. Whats the point? Again, that would cost that much more a night and there isnt a point to having 2. 1 is just fine, a second one would have no scare effect.
15. Same with when you said make TT scarier. We do the best we can with the regulations we have and to keep it fun at the same time.
16. Water dyed clothes red, made people sick beacuse of cold weather.... not gonna happen.
17. THAT WOULD COST MORE MONEY!!! and besides, 4 is plenty of clowns.
18. Nope, not gonna happen. LAFF is a FF tradition and wont change. THe only thing that changes year to year ar the jokes put into the show. And going back to the dead body comment i made earlier, its for that same reason the show no longer has the "jacks hanging" scene, now its just the clothes and leaves that fall.
19. Wolf to eagle includes wiggles world.... since that wont get transformed ever, neithe will this. That area will probably always just get the general park spookiness and dim lighting..... except for the games gallery
20. The trick or treat trail was throughout the entire east side of the midway last year and it worked well. We were still able to include character photo shots and reach out to more guests this way.

Most of your ideas have been said before and most them probably wont happen. Ent. does a great job with FF by using our resources as we can. If you want to see FF change or get scarier, then you need to contact corporate six flags and tell them to take "family friendly" out of the slogan, contact the gurnee fire department and have them change their fire code, and save up a ton of money to donate to the entertainment department and JPM so we can get all of those precious scare actors you want.

Thread Police is an absolute nobody who thinks way to highly of themselves and having no authority whatsoever telling others to keep on topic and correcting people repeatedly while in the process contributing to the problem at hand.
