Nothing new really was said on anyone's behalf. SFGAm was probably the most informative presentation if alittle flat. Little Dipper will open in June they hope. The station will look the same and as of right now they don't plan on changing much on the ride. It will get a PLC (aka safety system) and keep the handbrake, however it may not control the brakes directly from the sounds of it. It will be in Looney Toons National Park but the entrance will be in Yukon Territory. Games Gallery is being totally refurbished with a new 4-D, I mean unspecified attraction(that upcharge thing that SF agreed to buy several of). Finally County Fair Food Court (formerly Farmers Market) will be refrubished and a really huge shade structure will be built in front of it. I think it looks pretty fugly, but that's just me. It will be really nice though for people eating there. Last and I think most importantly, as it's been desperately needed for at least the past 10 years, the entire entry area in Carousel Plaza will be repaved with new concrete. There are other rather minor details I'll let other's fill in.

We were done with amusement park presentations before lunchtime, not counting Schlitterbahn Waterpark at the very end, where Jeff Siebert proved yet again that he was bred, born and raised to do Public Relations.

No Chang mentioned? So BBNP is not a complete lost? Surprised Dipper is not planned to open till June. I thought they would aim at May the latest.

^ Chang isn't here  When asked, Dameon Nelson said that there was a water main break and that blue pipe is for that

This year's event was really disappointing in my opinion. I honestly could have left after SFGAm's presentation and not missed anything.

I surprised that no one asked about V2's holding brake, since that was an obnoxiously hot topic here for a while. Oh well.

Tom Rebbie from PTC is always my favorite presenter. I love when he makes fun of the weird ACErs.

I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

-Cedar Point is getting a water ride!!!!
-Tom Rebbie went to China
-Very minor modifications planned for the voyage station
-Roast beef was served at lunch
-Two queens were bickering like an old married couple right next to me all day (and it got worse once they started drinking martinis)
-Coaster Justin wasn't there :(
-Schlittercon will feature a HOT BREAKFAST!
-Region 17 (western great lakes region of ACE) will host 2 events at SFGAm this year
-Coastermania and Holiwood Nights are on the same weekend (the choice shouldn't be tough)
-ACE events director and mall cop Paul Blark was not there
-Knoebels plans to have Flying Turns open by the time we have a black woman in office
-Marty Moltz did a 3 hour set of all his material compounded
-There was one female in the room who I'd deem as "hitable" (whod've thought a coaster convention was a bad place to meet girls?!)
-Indiana Beach didn't present
-Jeff Seibert made a Deiter reference
-I won a Prowler cup and an Avalanche shirt (I left the room to smoke and won a door prize and apparently 2 people picked one for me lulz)
-ACE president Mark Cole personally thanked me in front of the crowd for my contributions to the region
-I've never tried whirlyball
-Some people spent way to much money on old crap from SFGAm

And that's the overview of NoCoasterCon2010
I'm irreverent and stuff...

Being all Dr.ish here, but did you notice that when Damen Nelson talked about Wolfies trains and the support he used the same laugh and facial expression. I have a feeling that We're still getting those trains.

I don't understand why it can't be up (Little Dipper) on opening day. The ride isn't huge. I think it's rather that they don't want to open it up so they don't have to staff that area until June which to me doesn't make sense because you are (the park) trying to revitalize that area. Of course, the park is going to hide anything they have. To me, an event like this is just some PR speiling stuff on information you can already find elsewhere, and you can buy stuff. They want to make money you know. Yet it's something ride related, and sometimes during winter you just want to hear about because it's something.

I'm kinda of amazed that they have this event in this area only. I kind of think the Cedar Point area they would get more people than around here. Think of how many enthusiasts just love that park the most.
