So, they too consider Friday (NIGHT) as a weekend.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
never meant to start an argument. I was just pointing out how I thought it was. I haven't had school on friday in years. So, I'm sorry if any one took it the wrong way.
Any way, I was looking forward to riding Sky trek Tower this fright Fest. Next trip should be 10/25. Now, it looks like it won't happen because some radio guy will be up there probably till closing day. Sucks.
^He will not be there until closing day. He should be out of there saturday. All depends when the 1.5 millionth rider goes on Bull. I'm just going by there predictions though which is based off the countdown clock they have. It was set for a week and a half when he started and it has dropped down since to a few days.
Just wanted to point out that Jerzy and Rich have come down from STT. Raging Bull did get to 1.5 Million riders.
However, a few interesting tidbits of information have come out now that this is all over. First, if you have not done so, check out video #'s 33 - 46. At first glance, it appears that Jerzy and Rich took a risk, climbed down the ladder inside the tower, and had fun in the park on Thursday night. While they did not ride anything, they did "steal" some food, and visited a few sections of the park before returning up in STT.
If you have not heard what actually took place this week, you would think that they really did take a risk, and wonder how the park did not know they were running around. We all know the park has camera's and security there 24x7. But, it turns out that Thursday night was not the first time they were down. From what I have heard, they were actually allowed down every night they were up there to shower and sleep. They would then go back up the tower in the morning before the 9 am time that the camera's would come back on. There is also posting about this on the B96 webpage in a blog, but I have not been able to find the actual posts yet.
I knew it. I'll have to check out those videos though. Thanks for that update Brian.
EDIT: Wow, strange how they keep the music on in the Haunted Houses. These guys did a lot. Living in a closed Theme Park would be pretty neat. It was pretty dumb of them to post it all online and post the voice mail in the end. They won't be allowed to do anything like this again.
^ In reference to your question about having the music on and all the lights on, they were on because the guys in the tower were talking with someone (his name is in one of the video's before #33) who was working the park that night. They make a few references that the park is normally dark, but that person would turn on sections of the park lights and then turn them off again (giving the guys in the tower something to talk about).
During the week when the park is closed, all that is off. There may be a few lights on in the park for security reasons, but all the effects for Fright Fest are off.
Why would they say "we were told by security some people were running around last night". OK, NO ONE should be running around the park in the middle of the night. That little bit alone gave it all away.
If they both really wanted to get down (and possibly be shunned by the park as a whole) they could have easily depressed the "Cabin Down" button on the pannel inside...but they did like to play around with the lights and spiels a lot during the time.
In fact, I'm pretty sure the ride had a trouble light according to a friend due to all the movement and jumping around inside the cabin as it was stationed at the top, which probably was to be expected anyways. In the end, it was good publicity for both B96 and Six Flags.
Assuming the ride was powered down, the cabin down button would not have worked if they wanted to try it. The light switches work when the ride is off.
Just my 2 cents, it would really really sucked to be up there for the length they did. With the cold temps it would be freezing in there and there are a lot of small cracks that would let open air in. Also its scary as all hell being in that cabin when its windy. The only video I really watched was when they first went in there and the first thing the guy touched (handle on the door) fell off and the look on Brooke Gabbert's face was hilarious
