Well, you already know that the day was rainy, cloudy, and cold. So I'll just sum up the day.Arrived at the parking lot gate around 8:35am. We were the second car in line. Then someone got out of the car in front of us(From looking at holydumb's website, I knew it was him), then the car left. So I got to pull up tho the front of the line.Anyway's, as soon as the national anthem was over, they started letting us into the park. We went and got in line for Superman. After Superman, we rode so many rides I can't even remember the order. I'll just sum up the days rides and my thoughts on them.Superman: Ultimate Flight- 5 ridesThis ride felt faster than normal today, maybe the rain had something to do with it. Our final ride was a night flight. This ride is pretty cool in the dark!Batman: The Ride- 6 ridesOn our first ride, the station was empty so we decided to wait the one train wait for front row. Let me just say the front just totally blew the rest of the train away! It was still fast and intense, and the visuals were awesome. Got to ride this one at night also, which I think is better that the day!Iron Wolf- 3 ridesOur first ride we waited for front row, and it is definately a lot smoother when you can see whats coming.American Eagle- 3 rides (1 backwards, 2 forwards)Backwards was a bit jerky, forwards was totally awesome. While the blue side was being almost stopped by the brakes on the last little helix, the red side just blew right through them. It was nice to feel what that little helix must have felt like back in the day. On red, we had to wait for an upset parent who's son was to short to ride.Demon- 6 ridesAfter our first ride, we got a re ride. Then later on at night, we got a little mini-marathon with four rides without having to leave our seats. This was my first time ever having a re-ride on any roller coaster.Deja Vu- 1 rideAs I was riding Raging Bull, I saw the unbelieveable... Deja Vu was testing!! We opted to ignore a re ride on Raging Bull, and ran to Deja Vu. Just as we got there, they opened the line!! I couldn't believe I was finally going to ride this thing! We got to the station and in line for row 5B. With a one train wait, I was surprised how ridiculously long the load time really is for this ride. Well the first train went out, and I couldn't help but wonder if that was Coasterdude316 in the front seat? Well anyway, Deja Vu is a great ride, but I totally prefer V2 over Deja Vu. The vertical drops were great! About a half hour later, Deja Vu closed for the season.

Viper- 4 ridesViper was running really fast today, and the almost stand-up air was pretty cool. And I didn't even have my lapbar loose! I did notice how one train had an entire car missing lapbars

Raging Bull- 5 rides. This is still my favorite ride. The first drop is the greatest!V2 wasn't open, and we didn't want to wait for Whizzer.Well it was my third ride on Bull when I realized that my car keys were no longer in my pocket. And since I live almost 200miles from Gurnee, I was suddenly not feeling too well. After a brief moment of panic, we went to Lost and Found and fill out a sheet. The lady was not very nice and acted like I was wasting her time. When we went back later, there was a different lady who was very nice and gave me a number for the locksmith. We went and enjoyed the rest of the day, and met the locksmith at 7:00.Well, two keys and $150 later, we were on our way home.Besides the key incident, It was by far the best time I have ever had at Great America. The crowds were non existant, we had walkons and rerides. And after a while, you didn't care about the rain at all. If anyone saw me I was wearing an orange Columbia jacket, with a brown Carharts hat on. My friend had a black coat on. We saw holydumb alot, and we ran into a lot of other enthusiasts. What a great way to end the 2003 season!!
