Not sure if its been mentioned, but I noticed while walking around Friday night that Bugs Bunny National Park has been transformed into Area 51. They covered the Bugs Bunny sign up with the Area 51 sign .... couldn't go in as it was blocked off.

That way corporate can brag it's open all year.
Corporate: Hey, guys it's open. Six Flags: But there's no people. It's too cold. Corporate: So, we have to prove that people like this ride because we took Deja Vu out, and we need to have it open to show them we aren't wrong. Six Flags: Woah, you guys are smart. (behind the breath - you guys are complete idiots.) Corporate: We know! These people think they know it all. They say ha, a water attraction is only open in warm months like June - August, and they are going to say that Deja Vu was open longer. Well, we are going to get them! We are going to advertise BB during October too. Yeah, that sounds good. Everyone is scared of getting pneumonia. We know it, and that's the challenge. Go on BB during Fright Fest, and see if you can avoid getting pneumonia.
Fake below: Advertising 2009 Fright Fest Campaign: Ride the new Buccaneer Battle in 2009. You say it's October, but you say it's too cold. Are you guys chickens of a water ride in the cold weather? We dare you to brave the new Buccaneer Battle and not get pneumonia. (In small print - We will not pay any hospital bills. If you get sick, and die it's not our fault. Rides have certain risks involved. Why are your riding water rides in October anyway??)
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
Are you guys really complaining about an OPEN ride? Rapids used to run during FF, and its not like they cant close it if its cold and no ones riding it. The first few weeks of Fright Fest 07 it was almost 90 degrees and everyone was complaining that no water rides were open. And if they staff it and absolutely no one is riding it they can close it and use that staff somewhere else, for example to add the third train on Demon, so even if its cold to the point where it wont operate they can still take advantage of the extra crew that is available.
"Condor- closed to animal control" lol that's funny and I wish Scenic was open
It will be open the weekend of the 10th and Sky Trek Tower will be closed which is why its listed as unlikely and not closed for the season yet.
As promised, I'll go through as much as I can remember from the Buyout yesterday. As years past, I am still in awe at how much work they have to do in this "short" week. EDIT: Thursday night is Preview night, and Saturday Fright Fest begins, so they really do an amazing job considering the time frame.
In front, the pond (as I have said in other years reports) was not red at all. The Pumpkin Head guy is back and the Fright Fest sign is behind him. Besides the occasional spider webs and ropes, not much decorations are up.
Seven Sins Cemetery is mildly set up. Some of the tombs are up, but the entrance sign with the fire was not up. Rue Le Morgue has its walls up, and some of the decorations are set up inside, I also saw a speaker for "Bodies" to play.
Condor is DONE for the year. It has absolutely ZERO birds to ride in, the sign for it is down, and the entrance had hay stacks in front of it. I saw no indications that Larry will be on top of this.
King Chaos has some wicked clowns in line, not sure if this is foreshadowing a "New" Themed ride. One could hope Other than that, Mardi Gras was pretty much uneventful. The bridge that connects Mardi Gras to Yankee Harbor was VERY themed - Clowns, graffiti and other Fun House items were all over.
Nothing to report in either Yankee Harbor or Yukon, besides the Necropolis sign was up.
Not sure if Iron Wolf will be Predator again this year. Revolution had the black tarp up, enclosing the "Pit" under it, perhaps "Pit and the Pendulum" will return! The American Eagle didn't have walls up, (like years past) but did have an assortment of spiders and webs within the station.
The Demon had a lot of work done - I was impressed. Torches, red lights, and fog machines - on top of the Demon eyes in the front tunnel, and rats all over the sign. "Rise of the Demon's" walls were set up, but as I climbed the hill on Demon I saw zero props inside the fence.
Viper already had a handful of plastic snakes thrown around the station and line.
Terror Twister's walls have been put up. As everyone knows this is my favorite ride at Fright Fest, and because some of you may not know this I have been given the "green light" to share the info. Expect Terror Twister to be "new" and "improved" this year... Welcome "Terror Twister 2" - New lights, new music, and more fog... TT2 will be unlike any TT ride in the past... I am foreseeing a VERY, VERY long line for this. Plan accordingly. (And before people ask, this is NOT a rumor, I have been giving the "okay" to share mild information with you guys without giving away song names, videos, or logos.)
Some Fright Fest signs are sprinkled around as well...
That's about it my friends, see you all Saturday!

(sings)If you want to be my Chang-y, doesn 't matter if your black or white, or brown, or blue, or green, or red, or orange, or mauve, or yellow... 2010 trips- Dollywood, SFGAm, maybe SoCal
Can someone tell me ALL the attractions for Fright Fest this year? All I know is that the bumper cars, they load it tons of fog which is amazing. But can anyone help?
Tony mentions above that Thursday (10-01-09) night is Preview Night. If you look on the park webpage and the calendar, it says there is a "Private Event" on Friday, Oct 2, 2009. This is in line with the sign on Grand Music Hall that I posted a few messages back
So, does this mean that there are actually 2 previews? One going on Thursday, and one on Friday, and then, the general public on Saturday, October 3rd?
And I have to ask: How does one attend the "Preview Night" on 10-01, and does anyone know what the "Private event" on 10-02 is? Are they one in the same (nothing against you Tony, just asking! ) or are they two different events?
Anything in the Pictorium this year?? Nothing has been mentioned!! Hope they decorate the Dead Man's Curve area...it's pointless if it's not decorated. Hopefully this will be a good year!!
I would love to see Blood River and the train back in comission as well as Elvira's Superstition in the SSA building. They have stopped all of the fog i would like to see that brought back. And can someone tell me why they have stopped rethemeing all of the areas?? And why does the Condor not run during FF any more they used to retheme that to Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds but now they do not even do thay anymore. I think FF was better in 2005 does anyone agree with me?? The weather has also been pretty crappy lately i hope it turns better. I think SF should have it in the 4th week of Sept like Cedar Point does. Please Reply.
^ Necropolis is a free haunted walk through in the Picnic Grove area. The entrance is by the Logger's Run entrance, and Mausoleum of Terror is an up charge haunted house inside of Necropolis. Necropolis usually has different scenes set up and a few scare actors.
