Does anyone know if they will ever bring this back? Maybe in more of a Boomerang coaster fashion?

No..

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

Why not? It's not like V2 is anywhere near the end of it's life at Great America. If it was somewhere like 15 years old, i could see why. But it's barely 9 years old.

They probebly wont fix it because it breaks ever other year or so. They won't pay to have it fixed when it will just happen again in two years or so.

I just rode Steel Venom a week ago, the holding brake was not soo pleasent anymore. So I am fine with V2 not having the brake.

It's not about age (sometimes) the majority of the time is money. They probably don't have the money to fix the brake and I think they took the brake out i have no idea.

They have the money, but they just don't want to do it fix it. You have to remember this is the corporation that says everything is going to be running the same as last year, and they yank rides or theaters out to save money. With Chang coming, could we see Pictorium going?? With this company I would say yes because they would take it out.

Well we don't know if we are getting Chang or not, but if we do I could see them getting rid of the Pictorium for the coaster. That area would be a nice area for a coaster.

Amen to that. If the break is fixed, the ride is a no-ride for me.

It has been so long most people probably don't even notice that much anymore. A lot of other more important stuff needs to get done.

I heard they will probalby be fixing it during the off season this year. I personally hope they do, I loved that snap at the top, especially hearing the people go "uuughh" and "owww", haha, quite funny. I forget who told me, but I seem to remember it being someone that should know. We'll see, only time will tell. Plus this topic has already been created a loooong time ago and shouldn't be too far down the page, "V2 Occasional No Holding Brake Malfunction". Check it out, you may have your question answered better.
