Maybe they can give us SFKK's skycoaster too, seeing as DDD sucks and its not thrilling at all, where their skycoaster is awesome! I rode it before.... and LOVED it!!
OK, Or.... They could Remove Dare Devil Dive, Add an S&S Sky Sling, Allow for a Cheaper Ticket Cost, Still Pull in More Profits due to 6 Riders at a Time, and Have 4 Different Ways to Ride it
^^^ They would never removed an original roller coaster. remember whizzer
(sings)If you want to be my Chang-y, doesn 't matter if your black or white, or brown, or blue, or green, or red, or orange, or mauve, or yellow... 2010 trips- Dollywood, SFGAm, maybe SoCal
^ Apparently, you've forgotten just how close Whizzer did come to being removed for SUF.

It is unlikely that Demon will be leaving anytime soon seeing as Maint just rehabbed all 3 trains within the last 2 seasons. Doubt they'd spend that kind of time and money on something that was leaving soon.

Well its not the fact that they just want to get rid of it, they might HAVE to get rid of it in the near future. The ride has major structure cracks all over, and with the lifetime of the Arrows from the 70's its life may be short (just look at Big Bad Wolf). Does anyone remember that REALLY long downtime Demon had recently? It was because they needed to inspect and repair structural cracks....and there's only so much you can repair before you just have to scrap it.
I know I'm going to get flamed for this....but here is the Big One:
Here Goes, Rumors say that The rest of SWF is going to be torn out along with RaceWay to make room for a new Coaster. But it doesn't end there, Space Shuttle America is supposed to be removed to make room for Re-located Dare-Devil Dive....So that would make a huge space for a new coaster. But the reason I find this rumor to be extremely doubtful is this: If we were to get a new coaster next year, they would have started any kind of construction by now. If it hasn't been started yet, there is no way it can be finished before opening day. Which from another topic I heard is April 17th.
"I've been told that some part of every wish will be heard but lately I lost sight of the truth in those words."
but see, doesn't the relocation of DDD (SkyCoaster) to SSA kinda match the Hurricane Harbor Expansion? Seeing as though you'd be flying over Hurricane Harbor, it can be though of as an HH attraction.

http://screamscape.com/html/six_flags_great_america.htm the rumor is still alive and SFGAM confirmed it! the only problem is that theres a deal with the city and they need to allow to happen in order for it to come here. Also, it says that IW will still be here. Interesting.

I dont think the holding break had anything to do with the ride opening late (well maybe in a distant put more stress on the train in the past kind of way), but it doesnt matter now. Discovery Kingdom's V2 has been running without the holding break since 2002 it doesnt have anything to do with clearing inspection.
Ya actually it could make it NOT pass inspection! Any part of the ride that OPERATE's that causes something on the ride MUST PASS inspection unless it is disabled! That would be like a break not working on raging bull and them just Disabling it to make it pass (oops train crash)!
OMG OMG UNKNOWN SOURCE UNKNOWN INFO BUT IT MUST BE TRUE!!!!!!/1/1/1/1/1111!!!! --This is how things seem to be with all these rumors-- (Check the attachment. I don't think I need a disclaimer.)
Besides looking fake, the Daily Herold Website makes no mention of it in yesterday or todays news, and anything in the 400 foot range would be frowned upon by at least one Federal Agency.

Yes it is fake. Just a bit of a twist with all these rumors. Disclaimer: Fake Article. Just something nice to pretend is real for a moment. Sorry for the confusion.
- Hurricane Harbor's Attendance was Better than Last Season. - The New Hurricane Harbor Ride will Most Likely Be A Flowrider. (Deluge was a Major Insurance Problem or something like that.)
^ I'm going to call BS on the Flowrider unless it is an upcharge attraction. The capacity on them is awful, especially for a park that needs to increase capacity.
