I went in like 2005 or 2006 and the show was great I think they were professionals and they actually looked lke the people whom they were representing not to mention sounding like them. That was a Show get back to that and Show Stoppin could be great again.
Ok so to go off of what was said above and the show i saw today. 1. yes the music is loud but it a high energy show and to get the audience involved the music needs to be loud this did not seem to effect hearing any of the vocals. 2. I dont think that the bass is controlled separately it is just in with the music but i didnt feel that it was over powering 3. The performers are definitely singing live actually it was most obvious in the Jason Mraz's song and the performers in the parade are live too not on a track 4. as for putting out some sort of program i feel like that would just be a waste of paper no one is that worried about what song the performers are singing after all its a theme park show and if you must know there is a list of original artists in the lobby or you could just ask the performers at the meet and greet after the show.
I thought it is an excellent theme park show and although there are some things that could use some improvement i think its far from sucking

Ha, When I saw the parade, the different speakers were a little off timing and you could tell they where lip-syncing. But who cares, what do you suspect from a amusement park show that comes with addmission. Most actual concerts lip sync too.

What do you mean? It was the same set as last year, just the "circus lights" in the audience area are new. Its the same backdrop and stairs and all. I was really expecting something new.

2006 were pro's. It was called Salute to the Stars and they were professional impersonaters. The Prince, Tina Turner and Elvis people were all circuit performers.
If you are going to hack a show and compare it to another, please do us all a favor and KNOW what you are talking about.
I actually like SS09, well most of it actually. I dont know why Ashley has to back up Alex on his solo. You can clearly hear her vocals in the background. The songs are all great. I was actually expecting a different setup with the new song choices and all. But the Background is all the same. Set designers on strike or something?
There is a good mix of country, hip-hop, oldies even and pop numbers.

Just correcting you that in 06 it was called Tribute to the Stars
and no there are no set designers on strike but when you spend $60000 on a set you dont get rid of it after just one show. after all look at laff its going on 19 and it needs an update a little more than showstoppin.
