I listening to a podcast that was talking about SFGAm, and the person said that they get 15% off some food stands with their season pass. Is this true? In the booklet, it says retail, photos, and crafts. I didn't know food stands would give you the discount. Has anyone tried this?

It only works in some places. I've shown my season pass at Panda Express and they took $1 off my meal. However, I've tried the same thing at Johnny Rockets and have had no luck.
Has anyone tried it for funnel cakes, or those almonds, pecans, and there is some other type of nuts they sell?

I'm guessing most of the outside vendors like Johnny Rockets, Nutty Bavarian (though I think they have a different name now), Dippin Dots, etc wont offer a discount with season passes. I'm kinda surprised that Panda Express does $1 off. If there is a discount it'd probably be just for park owned and operated food stands, which isn't much these days in terms of real food (not snacks like funnel cakes, etc), probably some of the Farmers Market stands would be your best bet to try.
Now if only McD's, BK, Culvers, Gurnee Mills Food Court or InLaws had a Six Flags season pass discount, I'd be sittin' pretty
