This is true, ever since Mark Took over, the park has been looking better! And all the statements of A good Balance" are also true, we do currently have many coasters and 3 kiddie areas. Even though some coasters I'd consider "Kiddie Coasters" Like TDK, and Whizzer. <-Whizzer is still great though
Even me as a thrill-seeker, still likes to cool down a little... (But not at wiggles World) Yeah, that's where The Whizzer comes into play
"I've been told that some part of every wish will be heard but lately I lost sight of the truth in those words."
We have 3 kiddie areas, one of which is almost empty every time I go on Batman, there is like 1 or two people in there sometimes even no one at all, they've all migrated to Wiggles. I think they should do something with BBNP if there is no one going in there

Oh well I didn't know because I have never been in there to look around but I just have noticed from speculation that there really hasn't been anyone in there
Let me rephrase this so Chitown isn't so mean towards me.....when I go on Saturday's and ride Batman in the front row, I can see in BBNP that there are maybe 1 or 2 families at most.

I'm not contraditing myself and do you really have to have such a nasty remark towards everything I say, what the heck? I mean you don't have to be so mean towards me mostly and everyone else.

If you have never been in there like you claim, then stop saying you know what is going on in there.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

So, our park is in excellent shape? Have you looked at the pathetic Space Shuttle America. They horrified that thing! Have you looked at the abandon plot of land that was once Splash Water Falls or Trailblazer's metal supports just sitting there? I think they trashed the net thing in the Looney Tunes area. I don't know how the park has gotten better with Shapiro compared to before Shapiro?

They can't do everything in one off-season. They are struggling now in case you don't know that. We are one of the FEW parks who get SOMETHING almost every year.
I understand that are struggling, but why take something down if you can't replace it? If they took down Yankee Clipper, no one would really notice if it was gone except the people that really like that ride because it's just on water, and it's sort of hidden in the back. However, a big plot land where can't you notice it. Grass is better than nothing.

I seriously think the best thing that Shapiro has done for "our park" is putting gates for Demon, and Batman the Ride exit instead of the turnstyle. That speeds of the exting and essentially loading process so much better. I would say tv's, but the park has had the tvs before.

I haven't read through all of the responses but I would just like to say that I've been going to SFGA since I was a little kid. As I got older, I braved some of the rollercoasters and LOVED them. Now that I'm a parent of 2, I can't wait to take my kids there and show them the fun! We're taking my son on his 3rd birthday for a day to SFGA and I can't wait to see his face. I'm no longer into riding the rollercoasters but it will be fun just to be in the atmosphere again. I love the smell and sound of the park. I'll be experiencing new areas that I've never been in (even though I've visited at least 20 times in my life). I think it's great for both and it should be kept that way. If a family wants to spend that kind of money on a day of fun, why not?
People would notice Yankee Clipper gone. It could get more noticed if the food store wasn't built right there...but last time I was there, the line was 42 minutes (waited) and loggers run was 28. The public like all our water rides. Roaring rapids is also really popular. Us taking down SWF makes us more unique on our stuff, although 5 water rides would be really good to help prevent long lines.
Shapiro did a nice job with the park. Be glad we arent SFKK 0_0 or SFA -_-
Why do they need to take down the Trailblazer support right now?
SWF's area is still in making, its not like you HAVE to stare at it. People honestly won't get bother by it unless they cut the trees down over there.
SSA doesnt have to go. I once brought my friend and he thought it was scenery and it would be neat if they kept the space shuttle part. Be glad it isn't a construction sight you would have to be forced to look at if you are in that area of go carts of sky treck tower.
PS Chitown, our president is from Hawaii now...Lawl.
^^How can you not see Splash Water Falls area? Did you go to the park more recently and look at Space Shuttle America? If not, go and look at it. It doesn't just look like a Space Shuttle anymore. It's a mayonnaise Space Shuttle. The point of Trailblazer is that it's an abandon building.

I know why Deja Vu and Splash Water Falls had to go (money & old) but what was the issue with SSA? Money and what people realized it was dull? I do like how they blocked off the former Splash Water Falls entrance this year with the game. Last year it was still there and the rock had a HH sign painted on it. The area is surrounded by shops, games and rides. You don't see it very ell unless you are going fast on Demon, Giant Drop, American Eagle, Dare Devil Dive...or are by the smokers area in County Fair. It isn't about noticing it easily or not. I want the area to be useful again and not sit barren for 3-5 years.
SSA was high operating cost, and low popularity. Only time it was popular at all was during fright fest when it was Superstition, and it's not worth keeping a ride to use 3-4 weekends out of the year. The park confirmed a while ago that Space Shuttle America will be removed and watch that spot for the next new ride.

Six Flags should NOT be all coasters. I remember when I was 7 I wouldn't go on any REAL roller coasters, but I loved six flags because of Spacely's Sprocket Rockets and the Yogi Boats and the Looney Tunes train ride. Why would anyone want a park that has more roller coasters than family friendly rides?
(sings)If you want to be my Chang-y, doesn 't matter if your black or white, or brown, or blue, or green, or red, or orange, or mauve, or yellow... 2010 trips- Dollywood, SFGAm, maybe SoCal
Rides like Whizzer, regardless how sweet it is to have your lil' girlfriend in you lap, which you can just do at home, or the fact that it is the last roller coaster like that around, or the fact that it is one of 2 of the oldest roller coasters in the park, it needs to go, and NOW! Now is the time!!! Just imagine a new, bigger roller coaster that you can enjoy!
Oh my gosh! If I didn't ride the whizzer, I would be scared of coasters for the rest of my life! Also, it's nice to have classics in parks! I don't want the rides I loved as a kid to be blown away by a coaster called Total Domination!

I think there needs to be a good mix of family and thrill rides. But I also believe that Six Flags has been too focused on the family rides and hasn't been focused on satisfying the thrill seekers. The last thrill coaster was Superman in 2003. The last two roller coasters opened at the park were both just wild mouse coasters, which have no drops or inversions, just some speed while turning corners. Six Flags needs to satisfy both the families and thrill seekers!
